The original, 1980s, "Tron" movie was one of those 'lightning in a bottle' type of movies, oft credited for its trailblazing mix of live action and CGI when Jeff Bridges enters The Grid.
It's sequel, 2010s "Tron: Legacy" never managed to live up to its predecessor, despite some striking imagery and an electric soundtrack mix by Daft Punk.
The latest movie, 2025s "Tron: Ares", is even further away from that, despite an intriguing premise ("this time, they're coming to us") that sees programs from The Grid coming into 'our' reality. The whole thing, in essence, plays out like an extended chase sequence (as they can only stay here for a limited amount of time, and are chasing a character who holds the secret to 'the permanence code' which will allow them to stay indefinitely), owing more than a bit to the far-superior "The Terminator" film (both the original and T2) but lacking the bite of either.

Coming-Out is Murder
It’s July of 1898, and Emma Cross has spent the last year in New York City working for the Herald. Sadly, she is still relegated to the society column. And that’s what has brought her back to Newport – she is covering the biggest social event of the season, the coming-out ball of Cleo Copper-Smith. But the night ends in shocking fashion, when someone is electrocuted. The electrician who worked on the cottage is a friend, so Emma dives in to help clear him when people accuse him of shoddy work. With a variety of motives, can Emma figure out the truth?
As I was reading, I couldn’t help but think about the reactions to new technology today and how some characters were reacting to the new technology of electricity for houses. I appreciated how that played into the mystery, providing just one motive that kept me engaged. As is often the case, I felt like the mystery was a little too complex when we got to the ending. While things made sense, there was a bit too much exposition. But I expect that at this point. I am tiring of the love triangle, so I am hopeful that this particular storyline is wrapping up. Overall, I do like the characters and love seeing them grow as the real and fictional rub elbows so seamlessly. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Newport.

Completely Captivated
From the time I heard this book was coming out I just knew I had to read it. I will tell you that I lived Anastasia's life while reading this book and that's in part to the author's creative writing style. I found myself caught up in all of the emotional turmoil and upheaval that the entire family went through and I cried with the losses that occurred within this storyline. The blending of historical facts with fantasy kept me captivated until I turned the very last page. I quite honestly did not want the book to end and will reread this book. I really wonder how Anastasia's life would have turned out if she hadn't been murdered and this author gave me a glimpse of what could have been.

Good Work Detective
Saw V- this frachise is keeping me on a loop, so many twist and turns, im on the edge of my seat, cause its soo good. This franchsie is keeping me questioning everything about the charcters, john and his motivation, the detective's, the victims, so many questions and so many unexpected answers, that you wont see coming from a mile away. I love this franchise.
The Plot: Despite the fact that fiendish serial killer Jigsaw is dead, his work lives on through a new apprentice, Lieutenant Mark Hoffman, a cop who appeared to be hot on the murderer's trail. As fellow lawman Agent Peter Strahm begins to suspect Hoffman is Jigsaw's protégé, the fledgling killer sets out to dispose of him.
What will happened next, i will soon find out. Cant wait.

"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘺, 𝘨𝘶𝘺𝘴."
First time since the theater and - as everyone else has already pointed out - it still remains as infectiously fun as ever. Also as everyone else has pointed out psychopathic, windbreaker-ed Michael Cera in full-on boss mode is some of the greatest comedic offerings of the 21st century. Honestly I've always loved this entire lightning-in-a-bottle idea where Rogen and his friends (all playing self-deprecating caricatures of themselves) are just hanging out at James Franco's place and then the apocalypse happens - where it gets used as little more than an analog to peddle their usual jocular, caustic brand of comedy. These are probably the only people in Hollywood who could even pull off this premise let alone without it coming out as some sort of pretentious vanity project. Wish we had more of the opening party stuff before it gets into the doomsday plot, and it treads in its last act - maybe about 10 or so minutes too long as a whole. But it still rules, and what killer demon design + effectwork. Hill and McBride walk away with it (after being bodied by Cera, of course).
