Overly complicated
I wasn't keen on the first book in this series, but it got me just about intrigued enough to want to read the second. And sadly I liked this one even less than the first.

Fortunately MG was a much more bearable character in this book, although still fairly irritating - her actions and emotions are very childlike and not fitting for a grown adult. Calling her car the "Millennium Turd" drove me crazy. But at least her relationship with Matteo wasnt quite as prominent and frustrating. The problem with this book though is the plot. It's just ridiculous and overly complicated. I felt so confused trying to figure out what was going on and to me it was an entirely unnecessary sequel. A standalone story in the same setting would have been a much better idea rather than trying to link it too much into the plot from the first book.

Also the reveal about who the Golden Arrow is comes right at the end of the book and to be frank, I saw this coming from early on in the first book and I was aghast at how the characters in the book didnt see it coming. I've also already spotted the twist that any future books will throw up about this reveal, so it was rather a let down overall. I only bothered to read it as it was free on Kindle Unlimited!

[Ellen Allen] in [The Sham] leaves you questioning throughout the story what is really going on. None of the characters in this book would be considered 'normal' but some are more malicious than others.

The story begins with Emily having a run in at the local park with some "mean girls", one who is her step Aunt Becky. The four girls have brought a young boy to the park and proceed to torture him. Em wants to stop them but is frozen. Out of nowhere comes Jack to stop the girls. Seems like a clear case of good vs. evil right? Not quite, Jack has his own secrets.

Soon the girls involved in the attack begin disappearing. They whole small town is in a panic. Who is to blame?

[Allen] does a fantastic job of creating a twisting story with an ending that you never see coming.

Though a remake it is still such a unique concept.
Westworld started off as being just interesting enough for me to keep coming back for more but at the same time I didn't fall in love with it as fast or as hard as a lot of other people did, but by the season finale I was so hooked even though I guessed the major plot twist part way through the season that the thought of waiting for season 2 was heartbreaking.

The concept of the show is such a unique idea and I love how it shows people at their worst when they have free reign of their own stories, there are a lot of plot twist and even though I figured out most of them it really didn't takeaway from the show at all.

Better than expected
I was very much expecting this book to be your average by the book predictable thriller, and as it started out, that was exactly how it appeared to be going. However towards the final third, there were some twists I didn't see coming which made this a much better read.

The plot itself was intriguing and entertaining, and I think the whole story was very well written and worked well jumping between different periods in time. It was different to read a book from the point of view of a very unreliable narrator and a character who wasn't entirely likeable. It's not without its flaws - the final ending was a bit like overkill - but overall it was a surprisingly good and absorbing read. Makes a change for me to read something and not be able to predict the ending, which was very refreshing.

I’d looked at this movie on Netflix and thought, “Hmmm, this might be okay to watch one day.” Well that one day finally arrived and I sat down to watch this, not expecting too much from it.

However, it turned out to be a real gem; the characters were all so loveable, the story was fantastic, and the film itself was packed with genius comedy moments. I haven’t laughed so much at a comedy film for ages, but this movie just keeps the comedy coming.

I’m really pleased that a TV series was made based on the movie to keep the antics of the two boys going, and introducing some new characters into the mix works really well.

As will all comedy movies, some of the humour may not appeal to some, but personally I loved every bit of the film from start to finish.

This is where the sequels really start coming off the rails
The third Jurassic Park movie is pretty poor. For multiple reasons.
The main reason has to be the script - it has to be - because the acting talent is not bad by any means.
Sam Neill, William H. Macy, Tea Leoni - all great actors in my opinion.
But it's hard to connect with any of them throughout the run time (I swear I hear her shouting "ERIC" in my sleep sometimes)

A lot (not all) of the practical dinosaurs have been replaced with shoddy CGI, and to top it all off, the movie just ends. Very suddenly! And I can't figure out why... It's a good deal shorter in run time than the first two. Maybe Joe Johnston just got bored.

On a final note, is a velociraptor talking a low point for the franchise? Or hilariously great? You decide (ALAN)

Good but nothing special
Watching this film, I can see why it was Oscar nominated as it is your typical Oscars film. It reminded me a little of Manchester By The Sea, just with less of a storyline.

This is basically a coming of age drama, but sadly there isn't much that happens in it. Don't get me wrong, it's a fairly entertaining and watchable film. And watching a part of someone's life is interesting, to the point where I wish the film could have perhaps gone on a little longer. The problem is, you come out of this film feeling a little indifferent. The acting was good and the storyline interesting, but I came away thinking I wouldn't have any interest in seeing it again or recommending to anyone. Saoirse Ronan gives a very good performance though and I think she has a very good career ahead of her.

I enjoyed this book to point I could not put it down. I can tell you I had some bad feeling for Lonnie along with Gideon. Lonnie thinks that Gideon is a lot like her father in terms with the whiskey and believe it or not she doe not learn to listen to Gideon in terms if he was telling the true about him coming home when he went off to pay a debt.

Gideon was somewhat like Lonnie father in terms with whiskey but doe change for the family he is got. Can he really change for the love of Lonnie or does he move on.

Find out by picking this book up and reading it. The Author put some really good issues in the book and Can Lonnie learn to trust or does her mistake ruin it for her and her son.
