A little more towards the country end of the blues spectrum than I would like but a decent album from the former Byrds member, sadly released after his death.

I never figured what the narrative of the film was. Yes, it used real footage and chronicled the year in the country with a slight left POV. It did not structure the story into a coherent storyline though.

I need the next book now. The development of Alina and the other characters was beautifully written. I loved that the story was taken out of Ravka and we got to explore more of the country. I also loved how we learned more about the politics of this country. I found new characters to love and I am so happy about that. The more heavy scenes made my heart hurt as much as the light hearted scenes made me exuberant. An amazingly written novel. I would definitely recommend this to my friends!

"It was co-written by my uncle [Juan Antonio Bardem]. It’s with the director [Luis García] Berlanga, and I think it’s a masterpiece of a movie about the Franco regime era in Spain. It is [about] a visit that is going to be paid by the American government into our country and how the little country town is preparing that welcome for the committee, the American committee. And it really is a great drawing on what it was like in the Franco regime era in Spain, it’s a masterful movie."

I really don't get country and can't see why there is still a market for it in this day and age, but I suppose that's the way the world works.

"The first book I read by him is incredibly sad and so well written. It also reminded me of when I first took a bus across country to New York — so alone in the night surrounded by weird America"

"My favorite is “A Country Doctor”. The Id and the Super Ego running amok in a snowstorm. Dilapidated barnyard doors… and other openings into Kafka’s imaginary world, and of the deepest and most conflicted parts of the human mind."
