Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated The Real Macaw (Meg Langslow, #13) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
With four month old twins, Meg is finding life unpredictable and crazy. And that's before her father and grandfather show up with a bunch of animals rescued from the local shelter. When their "get away" driver is found killed, Meg keeps finding more information that leads to some shocking discoveries. I found the plot of this book very interesting, and I can't wait to see how it plays out in further volumes. The usual cast of characters are present, but they don't provide the laughs they used to. They are still amusing, and fun to be around, which will keep fans of the series happy.

Stuart Jeffery (0 KP) rated the Xbox One version of Fortnite in Video Games

Building Defenses (2 more)
General style
Random game modes
Too many patches (2 more)
Weird gameplay aspects like riding rockets across the map
Still kind of Beta
Fun 100 player survival game
This is a very fun title with a good selection of game types and random ones appearing every other week as special modes.
The game is still kind of in its beta phase as the single player side of the game may only just have been released or still be on the way.
There are other games like this but with the rapid defence building and crazy gameplay this does stand out on its own.
I have not played the single player side of the game but will buy it soon and possibly update this review at that time.

Not to bad
Not you bad. It's crazy how Facebook took over the world. It used to he MySpace. I remember when that was popular. I wish Facebook let you choose a background and things like MySpace did. I do enjoy Facebook. It is how I stay up to date on almost every day things. I don't have cable TV so Facebook is how I get my news. I would recommend this social media to pretty much everyone. It can be tricky when they update the app. I just wish they had a better way to see everything. The one thing that I really don't like us privacy. They can read anything you post. I changed my privacy settings pretty much daily. It is scary but fun

The Legend of Zelda Mario Style

Pretty crazy story even for a Zelda game my favorite thing about this game is the very imaginative ideas put into it everything from the creatures to the mini-games to the characters to the backdrops it just has a lot of personality and uniqueness put into it

Andy K (10823 KP) rated Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) in Movies

A crazy, interesting ride
Since I am a huge Gilliam fan, I was excited to watch this film. From the very first frame you are sucked in to this unusual, sometimes hilarious, sometimes detestable adventure of two men doing drugs, booze women all while in Vegas for a convention.
Some of the movie doesn't make much sense, the voice over helps a little. The awkward situations the two men get into and some of the unique people they encounter are my favorite parts.
Maybe I lost some of the point since I have only seen it sober? Not sure about that.
I do know it was one of the most stolen and/or never returned films in the history of Hollywood Video.

Kristina Rodriguez (1 KP) rated Poison Princess (The Arcana Chronicles, #1) in Books

Good begining
Kresley Cole has created an incredibly complex and surprising story line in this book. With romance, danger, relatability and a new take on Armageddon this book is the starter of the Arcana Chronicles. The book as a whole incorporates just enough romance to be relatively intriguing while not overpoweringly sappy. The series focuses on the growth and development of a 16 year old who is thrown into a world she literally dreamed of, and not in a good way. With zombies and superpowered teenagers based on tarot cards things are bound to get a little crazy. I recommend this book (and the series) to fantasy and fiction lovers.

Stormy (1 KP) rated The Fate of the Furious (2017) in Movies

Far fetched
The Fast and the Furious has always been one of my favorite series... but to be honest they should have stopped after number 5 or even 6....
The story has become so washed out. It used to be about basic street racing with some crime mixed in. It was a tale of family, and loyalty.
This series has become so far fetched it's crazy. The realism is what people liked in the beginning, and they have all but obliterated that. There is so much unrealistic crashing, and maneuvers that is becomes unbelievable. They went from small time, to big time in a huge way. From being about family, to being about betrayal.
It could just be me, but it's just not a movie for me.

Kept my attention (1 more)
Quick read, but not fluffy
Let the Game Begin
Ever wonder what it would be like to play a game directed by a man people only know the name of? Enter the wold of Caraval, a game like no other.
This book really had my attention from the beginning. There were some surprises along the way; however, some parts were a little predictable.
I gave this book 8/10 because I feel like the characters could be more developed and I didn't care for some of the predictability.
I would definitely recommend Caraval, especially to those who like mysteries. It was fun to play along with Scarlet and she enters the crazy wold that Legend has created.

Read in one sitting!? Kristy has done it again... beautiful, moving, painful, heartbreaking, sexy.. there are just not enough words to describe the feelings when reading this book. Touching on very intense and personal subjects, she handles it beautifully. The pain, torment and fear that Haddie deals with shows you a new side to this crazy and full of life character, who is so weighed down by her fears and wanting to protect those she loves, yet she just can't admit how much she needs them too. Then, of course, there are some Rylee and Colton appearances, which is like seeing old friends. Can't say enough how much I loved this book... I cried, I laughed... wow, Kristy, just WOW!?
