Old fashioned creepy
A good old fashioned ghost story. A creepy old house, odd servants, a pregnant widow left to her own thoughts in a big empty house.
And wooden people! Wooden people who multiply! And move on their own!
The story is set over 3 time periods. In the 1600s and in the 1800s. What happens in the earlier time is revealed through a diary found by one of the later characters.
Is it witchcraft? Is it insanity? Or ghosts? Read this book to find out. I really enjoyed it.

I saw this one on Amazon. It was pretty creepy once it got past the slow start. The storyline itself was pretty interesting. It was ultimately about secret governmental testing on people in the past. The characters were ok. Not a lot of depth to them but the acting is mediocre. The effects and camera tricks could've been a little better but they conveyed everything well enough. Overall I'd recommend it if you're into creepy ghost stories. Worth a watch.

This drama/ thriller on Netflix(not exclusive) want too bad. The cinematography and acting were just ok, but the story was creepy enough to keep your interest. It's a "crazy babysitter" movie. I don't give the ending away but it definitely would make you double think who you leave your kids with in a night out. The kids were cute sings did pretty well for their ages. The main character(babysitter) definitely played the "creepy" part well, too. This one isn't the greatest film you'll see but it's worth a watch.

A fun story full of delightful rhyming couplets and wonderfully creepy pictures.
My 7 and 8 year old spawnlings thoroughly enjoyed this one (they read it together by themselves) ... and without spoilers they understood the moral at the end.

The timeline in this graphic novel went back and forth a bit, so it was confusing in the beginning. However, once the family moved, it started to make a lot more sense. It's an interesting, but psychologically creepy story.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This book was creepy as heck.
Yes, even for a kid's book. Katherine Arden does an amazing job with the atmosphere.
