Creepy with just the right amount of Whimsy
Coraline is a quick and fun read for pretty much any age(as long as the kids don't scare too easily).
Gaiman really does create a wonderful seemingly perfect world with young Coraline's other mother but as the old proverb goes the grass is always greener on the other side.

Roxanne (13 KP) rated Not Microwave Safe: A Halloween Story in Books

This was a fun short story with a few good twists and turns to keep the reader interested. I found it both funny and creepy as I really liked the characters but I absolutely hate clowns. I would say this is more a comedy than a horror but I'm still going to shelve it as horror because...clowns.

Fun and educationali
I pretty much grew up in this movie and even as a kid I always just enjoyed it. It was creepy and fun and really educational without it feeling like it which as a kid was kind of important. The movie teaches you about how Halloween started and how it evolved into what is today.

This was much better than "50 Shades of Creepy-Ass Sexual Abuse."
The main character was actually someone who had had a life before the book started!
There were no inner goddesses krumping about in someone's noggin.
The only problem I had with it was given the title of the series, the ending was pretty obvious.

I really liked the plot but something about this book was a major let-down.
I like the moral question it raised, the dialing down of Creepy!Roarke, and Eve's friendship with Peabody and that's really it.
I know that this is supposed to be about three years from the first book but this one felt kinda stagnant.

Great remake!
This was such a great remake, you never know what you’re going to get when the first is as creepy as it was but this remake was pretty great. The small change they made really switched the whole thing up and made the possibility of what is going to come next for #2. Cast was great also.

Eh
Another take on an old story. Pretty dark and creepy(in some gross ways). The acting was decent and the cinematography ok. The story unfolded ever so slowly, but kept the interest. Not for kids really but and interesting enough film if your bored some night after they've gone to bed. Kinda worth a watch.
