Caffeinated Fae (464 KP) rated Princess Mononoke (Mononoke-hime) (1997) in Movies

I really do love what Hayao Miyazaki creates. It's like any movie he puts out is gold. This movie is really wonderful. The characters are spectacular, and the animation is simply magical. I loved this movie a lot & I love the slightly creepy (Forest Spirit by far the creepiest) characters you meet as well.
FYI: If you're a parent looking for a new movie, please know that this anime is filled with violence & there is a reason that it is rated PG 13. It definitely relied heavily on the gore as well.

Yoshi (40 KP) rated Zombies Vs. Unicorns in Books

This is the first book to actually crack me up in years. Even if you don't like all the stories, everyone is bound to find at least a few they enjoy (even if you just read the zombie stories). The zombie stories range from creepy to romantic to just plain hilarious, and because they're short they're a great pick-me-up at the end of the day. Due to the mature nature of some of the stories I wouldn't recommend this book for anyone who has not yet entered high school.

Matthew Krueger (10051 KP) rated The Grudge 2 (2006) in Movies

The Grudge's Ring II
The Grudge 2- is a decent sequel, if you like the first one, than you will like this one. This one is scary, horrorfying and spooky. Not to mention creepy.
The Plot: A young woman (Amber Tamblyn) encounters a terrible curse while searching for her missing sister (Sarah Michelle Gellar) in Tokyo. The evil imprecation fills its victims with murderous rage, but it also brings together the diverse group to unlock its secret and save their lives.
Overall it is a good movie and a decent sequel.

One not to add to your list
Gave this Netflix original a go. A brother and sister team try to scam people who think they are being haunted. They take on more than they can handle at one creepy location where several girls were murdered.
Not a bad idea for a Horror film but this effort is slow, dull, low budget, without any real scares. Takes a different direction in the final act as well and left little explained really. Check out @The Gift (2000) instead.

Omg!
I watched the whole 1st series in two days.
Wasn't expecting much from this but I was hooked after the first 10 minutes.
Joe seems like a normal guy meeting a girl at first but it gets really creepy really quick. Not only is he watching her through the window he also has access to her iCloud so can see every conversation between her family and friends.
Can't wait for a second series to see how it continues now his Ex is back.

Jake Gyllenhaal is someone I've always considered a quality actor, but his portrayal in this movie is next level. He completely engulfs himself in the role of a creepy as hell fella who slowly allows his mind to be taken over by ideas of grandeur fueled by the suffering of others. A crazy take on what seems to be becoming a very real and serious thing in the world we've created. Definitely something you should check out if you aren't easily woozie and don't mind a bent cranium.
