Superman gone bad
I found this dark reimagining of Superman quite hit and miss. The kid is creepy enough and fully utilises his powers once he knows what he is capable of BUT the writers could have given us a little more of what motivated him to use said powers for evil instead of good.

The film wasnt to heavily reliant on the gore, though when it did it was pretty cool (the glass in the eye scene stands out) and the occasional jump out your seat scare scene did just exactly that.

Not sure if this has the potential to open up a cinematic universe with nothing but supervillains in (as eluded to in a credits scene)

Not even gabriel byrne can save this movie
Hereditary- at first looked good from the trailers, but the trailers mislead sometimes. The trailers really mislead this movie. Overall some parts were good, others were bad. It seem like the first half was slow and the second part really jumped over 10.

One of my favorite actors gabriel byrne who by the way is a fair underrated actor couldnt even save this movie.

Im not sure, who this movie is for?

Is it for people who like these films....
1. The lobster
2. The killing of a sacred deer
3. Mother!
4. The cell

If so this movie is for you. Its weird, creepy to watch and overall disappointed.

I feel its a feel good kids movie sad kinda but not as sad as 3. If you got kids are your just nostalgic and have to live that toy story moment again give it a try.. woody buzz some of the original cast appear 3 or 4 lines.. Bo peep out of nowhere becomes huge part. Creepy dummys new antagonist ok.. over all not one i would put at my watch over and over kids list.

Epic Series
Three seasons in, and I am still enjoying it. There is a lot of intrigue around Eleven, and the Upside down. Though we are still waiting for season 2's side quest in the city to pay off, there are plenty of rewards for regular viewers.
With its great casting, epic cinematography, and all the 80s throwbacks, it's a great for all.
Just try and dislike those kids, I dare you.
It is tense, fun and witty, with some high stakes and great plot twists. Well worth a watch.
Thanks to a Smashbomb competition win, I now have a Demigorgan Funko Pop for my collection.
Almost as creepy as the real thing.

Lots of holes in plot and moments that don't make sense...
Craftsmanship is excellent, the story is bad.... writing is good, to many holes in plot
I didn't even know what this was about when I saw it, and I knew there was hype, but not why.... I don't get why people like this movie so much. it's creepy and unsettling most of the time... yes there are tense moments, but I didn't care about any of the characters..... I just didn't want to see what would happen next.... for me that's not good. This movie is a shade below qualifying as horror.

No where near as good as the Hitchcock version (0 more)
Unnecessary remake
Well it has been 80 years since the Hitchcock version, I could understand updating it slightly but this is a pale comparison. Nothing has really changed in the story as such. However the execution is very different. The original version was genuinely creepy and atmospheric, with some scenes that might make you jump. Ms Danvers character was especially good.
In this version it's more of a love story, slowly drawn out with a bit of drama right at the end. It would have been better to keep the feeling of Hitchcock's version. If you haven't seen it, watch that instead.

This book wasn't at all what I was expecting. I was ready for a haunting, mysterious creepy type book this isn't what it was. The mystery element was there but not quite the haunting which was the bit I was most looking forward to. I did however find myself drawn to this book and I kept wanting to know the next thing that was going to happen so for that reason I did like it. I found myself really enjoying the characters I loved their interactions with one another and how they all have their own story to be told. I did enjoy this story it just wasn't what I was expecting.
