Enjoyable Love Story
This book follows Maddy; a teenage girl who suffers from a rare disease that prevents her from leaving her house. Her uneventful daily like is shaken up when a new boy moves in next door.
Maddy reminds me of a princess trapped in a tower, but the tower is her own body. She understands that Olly isn't going to come save the day. She actually afraid of letting him into her life. The best part of this book is seeing Maddy decide what risks are worth taking. Once she decides to let Olly be a part of her life her view on the world starts to change. Overall this was a great book, and Maddy's love story proves that the best things in life come with a little risk.

All Aboard The Train: Ticket Please
The Commuter- combines the Taken franchise, Non-Stop and Run All Night mixs it with Murder on The Orient Express and Strangers on a Train. All those togther results into this movie. A decent action suspense thriller starting Liam Nesson.

The Plot: Insurance salesman Michael is on his daily commute home, which quickly becomes anything but routine. After being contacted by a mysterious stranger, Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on the train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realizes a deadly plan is unfolding, and he is unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy that carries life and death stakes for everyone on the train.

I would reccordmend watching this movie, cause its good.

The Last Temptation of Christ (1988)
The Last Temptation of Christ (1988)
1988 | Drama

"I was raised Catholic and I still consider myself a fairly spiritual person even though I have a hard time identifying with most Christians in this country. But I still maintain a belief in God and in Jesus, and that gets tried on a daily basis. The older I get, the wiser I get, the tougher it is to believe in a divine power or whatnot. So that movie appeals to me on that level alone. To take it beyond, it’s just a fantastic Martin Scorsese picture. Great performances in it. The first portrayal of Christ where I was, “Wow, this might be what it was like.” He wasn’t a guy of all beatitude and perfection. He was a man, first and foremost, who just happened to be the son of God."

Superman and Lois
Superman and Lois
2021 | Action, Adventure, Drama
I don't know about you, but when I think of Superman I tend to think of his Clark Kent early Daily Planet days, back when he was a reporter and when Lois didn't know his alter-ego.

That seems to be the period in which most of the Superman films have been set in (and is probably why I think of that), with his earlier teenage/Young Adult days explored more in TVs Smallville.

I'd never come across a 'mainline' story with a hook just like this before: Clark Kent is no longer a reporter at the Daily Planet, is now married to Lois who knows his secret and has kids (teenage twin boys) of his own.

Yes, I know that's been covered in the comic books.

Anyway, this is another entry in what-is-sometimes-known-as The Arrowverse, with both Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane having previously 'popped up' in some of it's sister shows - I think first appearing in the second season of 'Supergirl' - before putting in an appearance in some of the crossover events.

Having said that, this is largely a self-contained series (post Crisis), although there are points where you just have to wonder why Kal-El doesn't put out a call to his cousin Kara Zor-El to help! Setting that aside, however, this is beautifully shot (and generally written/performed better than most of the other Arrowverse shows), with Tyler Hoechlin continuing to prove himself a far lighter, more comic-accurate (I feel) version than that shown by Henry Cavill in 'Man of Steel' and 'Batman Vs Superman' or 'Dawn of Justice', and with Elizabeth Tulloch also winning me over as Lois Lane.

I absolutely love this app, and use it almost daily! My favorite thing about it is that you can use it to read on your phone if you choose, i.e. if a book isn't available in Kindle format. I'm no longer afraid of the Library Police either, because the books are returned on their own on the date they are due! With my library and Overdrive, you can choose your lending period, 7, 14 or 21 days. You can put books on hold, create a wishlist, and view your reading history. Overdrive is a must for readers like me!

Sweet read but not for everyone
A Monk's Guide to a Clean House and Mind is literally a cleaning manual for those who follow spirituality as part of their general course. Shoukei Matsumoto, a Japanese Zen Buddhist monk, has created a simple guide for those who want to be mindful about their daily chores and why monks themselves do each task with such vigour and importance.

While the book itself is sweet, with lovely picture representations, I did feel that some of it may not apply to a secular western household as they speak of how to repair an altar. And when you live by yourself, sharing chores is not really an option. With that in mind, the book is geared for a certain audience, many of which may have to read this as just a pleasant handbook.

This book is different then others I have read. For the format is in Diary setting. Though I understood the story behind it. This was great read. It told more of the history of the Trail. It about a girl that goes though the some hardships and adjustments.

Florrie and her family travel from Arrow Rock, Missouri to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Florrie and her brother Jem need to adjust to having a stepfather named Mr. Ryder. You learn a lot about the daily life of being on the Santa Fe Trail back in 1848.

Most of this dairy tell you the History of America during that time. Most of the dairy is down on the trail of The Santa Fe Trail. Though that like to learn about America History, this is good for young readers.

The show must go on...
This wonderful tale tells the story of Randy "The Ram" Robinson (Mickey Rourke) who was once one of the biggest names in the industry who now struggles with daily life but is still ready and rarin' to go on the pro-wrestling circuit. After a brutal beating, Randy hangs up his tights, pursues a relationship with a stripper (Marisa Tomei), and tries to reconnect with his daughter (Evan Rachel Wood). But with that fire still burning within, prepares for comeback....

This gritty look at the reality of wrestlers from the past is a real eye opener, hearing and reading about their struggles after years of entertaining millions to be tossed aside when they can no longer commit to the performance is a humble experience and inspiration.

Some solid acting, good casting genuine tone.

What's more terrifying...
What you can't see,
Or what you can't remember?

Since her divorce, Kendall Madison has been in over her head. Between trying to make ends meet, raising three kids, and hunting ghosts,
Kendall just can't seem to find balance in her life. When she finally lands a job right up her alley, she hopes it’s a sign for better things ...

Brilliant!! So many books write their female leads to be hot single women this was so refreshing to have a female lead with a normal life, the daily struggles as a parent, then she kicks ass in the supernatural world too. It was so well written and such an enjoyable read. I'm definitely rooting for Malcolm in this one and can't wait to discover more now Kendall has her memories back!
