Jon Cryer recommended Apocalypse Now (1979) in Movies (curated)

Apocalypse Now (1979)
1979 | Action, Drama, War

"Apocalypse Now is sort of a fever dream of a movie. When you watch the documentary about the making of Apocalypse Now, you suddenly understand what everybody went through while they were making that thing, and what a huge, unruly beast they got involved with, not even knowing what the movie was going to be. Everybody just decided to be a part of it even though it was just this evolving daily disaster. That being said, it is an amazing tribute to the film, that the beautiful cohesive piece that it is, is what emerged from that craziness. So many scenes that are just so memorable, the amazing lines, and how it just totally transformed war movies because it would have those incredibly realistic moments but also, you know, the huge “Ride of the Valkyries” helicopter attack. And it’s amazing that it worked at all, you know, besides the fact that it actually managed to work beautifully."

Mothergamer (1568 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Genshin Impact in Video Games

A fun free to play open world gacha game. The nice thing is you don't have to spend money in the game if you don't want to. It gives you a lot of freedom to explore and earn the in-game currency by doing daily quests and the main story quests. You can also play mutliplayer with your friends and it is cross platform so everyone can play together no matter what they play the game on. The story isn't anything complicated. It's simple and easy to follow, but it is a good story and it's fun just exploring everywhere. The only drawback is the higher endgame level grinding in the game gets to be a bit of a chore with limited resources that take a long time to regenerate. Other than that, the game is great and offers a lot of things to do with the main story, side quests, and events. I'm not a huge fan of chick-lit at all. I prefer something a little more exciting than just following a woman around in her daily life.

That's not to say I didn't like this, because it was okay.

I have this thing where covers attract me to books and come on! It's a really fun, funky cover. But as I mentioned above chick-lit is not one of my favourite genre's. In fact, this was a DNF after 111 pages out of 400 and odd, though I did skim through the pages and what I thought would happen, didn't.

I still liked Gracie and I'm sure that if I could have brought myself to pick it back up and continue that I may have liked it. But from the 100 or so pages I read it was okay.
