Tautly directed thriller from Fincher with Foster and Stewart as mother and daughter fresh from a divorce and having to deal with 3 would be burglars to their new house, which happens to have a safe room which gives them temporary respite, enjoyable, tense and very entertaining.

I found this book quite compelling at times, but wasn't that impressed with the story overall. The book centers on a family and the ramifications they face when the daughter, Angela, becomes mentally ill. Some of the passages are quite interesting, but overall, the story seemed flat.

Wonderful children's bedtime book

My daughter loved this book so much. I read it to her every night before bed and she carried it around. I ended up replacing the book 3 times when she was little because she wore it out from so much use.

It is a beautiful story of a girl who’s appearance has been licked by fire. She must learn her true identity, fight against feelings and become a daughter of the flames.

Recommend Me

Looking for good books for my 10 year old daughter. She is reading on a young adult/adult level. I want her to feel challenged but dont want her reading content that is too mature for her age. She enjoys most genres. Open to all ideas!

I had, same issue with my son, most school library books at his reading level were blocked to him until recently. What about books by Frank Cottrell Boyce? He used to love those at that age.

Perfect to keep the babies quiet!

Daughter is 10 1/2 months old and she loves this. She even says Duggie. Colourful, educational and I can actually have it on without tearing my hair out!

They are a really funny, cute and weird family. My favorite video is one where the dad sings in the car with his daughter and they dress and dance like the song being played. At one point the dad is wearing an Elsa wig. Very funny.
