So Where to start with this review, The Marsh Kings Daughter by Karen Dionne is one of those books where not a lot happens in terms of plotline, this actually doesn't seem to matter as we spend most of the book looking backwards as this is where the main action lies. This story Immerses you in a past that though horrific, is so deeply ingrained in tradition and culture that it sucks you into the pages fully as we experience through a child's eyes life on the marsh.
So Basically, Helena is the daughter of the Marsh King Jacob and his abducted bride, who is hardly more than her child herself.
Unaware of her mother's captivity she is raised on the marsh as her father's shadow.
eagerly Learning all that he knows.
Despite her father's sometimes cruel ways Helena adores him.
At the age of twelve upon realising the secret of her birth and her mother's imprisonment at the hands of her sadistic father and yearning for change Helena manages to escape to civilisation.
But The outside world is a lot different to what she imagined and her grandparents can barely tolerate her presence.
So when she turns eighteen she sets off into the world to forge her own path, cutting herself off from her family and changing her name to escape the notoriety of being the marsh king's daughter.
This is really where we come in Helena is married with two little girls. The secret of her birth is still hidden, that is until her father escapes from Prison engaging Helena in a deadly game of cat and mouse with her family the prize at stake.
This was such an easy and interesting read, I loved the vivid descriptions and also the ongoing Fairytale of the stories namesake.
The Marsh Kings daughter kept my attention till the end.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a free advanced readers copy this is my own personal opinion of the marsh king's daughter by Karen Dionne.

Like most, I went into the movie expecting Logan to die, but that didn't make it any easier! What I wasn't prepared for was for Logan to have a daughter, and to develop such a sweet relationship with her! Which made his death all the more painful

This show is bonkers in the best way.
Ex-cop and current trainwreck Nick Sax is visited by his daughter Hailey's imaginary friend, a flying blue unicorn named - you guessed it - Happy, who needs Nick to help him rescue Hailey from the creepiest Santa Claus you've ever seen. It's violent and hilarious and quite nuts, and I can't wait for season 2.

Review on behalf of my 5yo
My 5yo daughter absolutely adores this film. She loves the characters, the singing and dancing. This is one of her go-to movies when she's feeling poorly. The plot is nice and easy to follow for young ones. Has a lovely feel good factor about it.
Well worth a watch just for the music.

Found another gem on Netflix(original). It's titled "How It Ends". Stars Forest Whitaker and Theo James(among others). Very good acting, con m film work and storyline. An end-of-the-world style movie about a father and future son in law crossing the country to find his daughter after power goes out and things start going crazy. Really worth a watch!

Clever thriller done thru the internet didn't think I was gonna like this film at first but I did there's plenty of twists and turns and red herrings if u spot them. John cho plays the frantic father as he searchers for his missing daughter thru his computer u feel for his agony wondering if she's alive or dead thumbs up

They came to their senses!
Rise Michael again after a disappointing reach of the 3rd film.

Laurie Strode's daughter is the subject of this return to the more traditional Michael Myers film. Also the return of Dr. Loomis.

This one feels more like the Michael you know and love although not much new to the formula.

A very cute short story, by the makers of Kipper, about what Jasper the cat is going to buy with his birthday money.
My 2 year old daughter really likes this book as she loves cats. I added in some of my own sound effects here and there but she's beginning to recognise most of the items in the shop now.
