Murder as Father-Daughter Bonding
Former child star Jarrod Jarvis has retired from Hollywood and is now living in Palm Spring. He’s still morning the death of his husband, Charlie, and their grief has driven a wedge between Jarrod and his daughter, Liv. But when Liv’s boyfriend is murdered, the two start to investigate. Will working on the murder bring them closer together?
I’ve wanted to read one of this author’s books for a while, and I settled on this one. It was a bit more melancholy than I was expecting, but the tone made sense given where the characters start the book. The plot took a bit to get going, but once it did, the pacing was better. Still, the climax felt a bit much while still being enjoyable. I also felt like some of the details weren’t consistent across the book, although that might have been me. I did like Jarrod and Liv who felt real, and the rest of the cast was just as entertaining. I will consider picking up another Lee Hollis book, but I won’t be rushing to do so.

A sombre tale of choices
At first, you end up loathing the cynical protagonist, a womanizing professor, who seems to have lost the will in life. Until the moment he realises the tragedy that befalls his daughter and that some things are out of his control.
The prose is poetic and decadent, but where I find some difficulties in processing is the protagonist's outlook of separating women into the virgin or prostitute category. What we understand is that the main character has actual little understanding around him. Very intriguing read.

Here the series starts to fragment into a number of threads, all of which are key to the plot of the whole series.
Tisamon takes his half-blood daughter to be trained as a weaponsmaster, these scenes being quite emotional yet thrilling.
The Wasp Empire continue to be as annoying as their insect namesakes.
Overall, this book is like a big game of capture-the-flag, with everyone trying to get their hands on the shadow box, a mystical implement of unknown powers (but if the Wasps want it it must be bad!).

A nice pacy thriller

I enjoyed this interesting thriller after discovering it on Netflix. The brilliant Naomi Rapace is in great form as the bodyguard assigned to protect the daughter of a rich man whose company is bidding to buy land that is also being bid on buy another rival firm. Lots of action and plot twists make this well worth watching as the two of them must fight against the odds to uncover who is behind the conspiracy and assassination attempts on the girl.

This quickly became my favorite book before I ever finished it. I read more of the dark and twisted genres, but this was a beautiful story with just enough edge to keep me absorbed. It unfolds a relationship between a mother and daughter who can see into the future causing her to be an outcast when all she is trying to do is save the lives of the people she holds close to her heart.

Sam Worthington pushes himself as an assassin hired to kill a teenage girl as he struggles to face his own demons - addiction, his past as a soldier, and his lack of relationship with his own teenage daughter. The movie is action from start to finish with not a lot of great suspense or unexpected plot twists. However, for an action flick, its rather mild presentation (minimal swearing, not overly graphic, no unnecessary sexual content) plus the realistic potrayal of the emotions the hunter and the hunted must work through, this is an enjoyable movie!

A Kevin Smith flop
The story of two Canadian retail mart workers who live for their music, phones and of course yoga have their way of life threatened by evil bratwurst (the Bratties) that of course are nazi's who are trying to come back from the dead and take over the world.
This movie stars Kevin's Smith's daughter and the entire movie is dumb and not worth the time or the film it was put on. The only moive that Smith has been a part of that I disliked.

My favorite bond movie not perfect by any means its a shame that geroge lazenby only did one bond film. The plot follows the book perfectly as blofeld plans to use is angels of death contaminte crops and animals but only bond can only stop him and finds time to fall in lovewith tracey daughter of local crook.
It also has the perfect love song from louis armstrong. And telly savalas as blofeld and the ending still gets me

Hannah has some trouble accepting her past. Devlin also is struggle with his past. He also has to deal with his wife. Hannah as a secret she must tell Devin about. Hannah comes to help when Devin wife becomes ill after giving birth to their daughter.
This book is somewhat a tear emotions for just about what going to happen. Devlin still need to come to terms with his guilt and he need to step up when he told something. For there several surprises in this book I do not want to give them away.
