James Koppert (2698 KP) rated The Christmasaurus and the Winter Witch in Books

I believe
The Christmasaurus was wonderful book mixing the children's magic of christmas with dinosaurs, two things kids love. This, the second book in the series doesn't let the magic go, if anything this is a better story. Tom Fletcher manages to weave a complicated story about magic and time travel and yet still make it suitable for children and the illustrations make it even more gorgeous. This series has the potential to be made into a movie and become some of the best love Christmas characters in the world. My daughter loved this book, so did i. She is 8 and I am 40.
Deborah (162 KP) rated The Last Queen in Books

The start was a bit shaky - a few Americanisms thrown in there (Why 'visit with'??! It's a daft, redundant sort of expression!) but when I got in to it I found it to be a really rather compelling novel! This is the story of Juana 'The Mad', Quuen of Castile, daughter of Ferdinand & Isabella, the catholic kings. Gortner has an interesting take on Juana's 'madness' which he develops in the novel.
It's not altogether a comfortable read though! so many times I felt myself to be frustrated for Juana and the situation she found herself in - manipulated by others.
An interesting and thought-provoking read about a queen perhaps not much known outside of Spain.

Beautiful family
Painfully Tragic and Beautifully Romantic
When I started Everything I Never Told You, I expected it to be a story of a family suffering a loss and finding the answers through old journals or realizations of their lost daughter.
Yes, the family learns things about her they did not know, but how I expected it to go down was WAY OFF.
We are able to grow with the kids, through poignant memories. We fall in love with both of the parents as they each reminisce. I felt the betrayal of the mistakes they made and the pure pride and joy as they grew as a family and as people.

A drama full of twists and turns
Dr. Tom Delaney (played with a convincing British accent by Michael C Hall) lives with his daughters in a gated community, but following a party when a young lad is found dead in a swimming pool and Tom's daughter goes missing life begins to unravel for the residents of the exclusive area.
Twists, turns, red herrings and surprises galore in this 8 episode series where it is almost impossible to guess what might come next. Until it smacks you in the face...

Cameos
Just watched this film is seriously funny I like some Kevin Smith films like chasing amy and red state definitely put this up there with those films. Any film that breaks the third wall and pokes fun at it self and even Kevin Smith makes fun of himself which was funny. Love the cameos especially Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth who I thought would never do something like this. But lastly not forgetting Harley Quinn Smith daughter of Kevin Smith star of the future who manages to steal the movie from her dad chip off the old block anyway good movie worth a rewatch.
