Highland Secret ( Highland Magic 1)
By Kerrigan Byrne
⭐️⭐️⭐️

He's cursed with eternal silence...

Roderick MacLauchlan is death for hire. Blessed by an ancient Deity with Berserker rage, he has the strength of ten men. Cursed by a malicious enemy, he's incapable of speech. A desperate clan war rages around him and a malevolent adversary lurks in the darkness, calling for blood.

Evelyn Woodhouse is an English refugee with a dangerous secret. She has the ability to see the outcome of tomorrow's battle and knows they're on the wrong side of it. When a doomed and silent mercenary rescues her from a fate worse than death, it seems he has his own plans for her. This is his last night alive and she's never been able to defy destiny.

This was a fast super sweet mating story of a Scottish mute Berserker and his English kitchen maid. Super fast and a fun little read! Lust filled.

Definitely not what I was suspecting of the second Avengers movie. I actually got bored at a few points. Not a fan of the ending but at leas they made a lot of sense of it in Ragnarok. Was not happy with a certain death. However James Spader as the voice of Ultron made it very worth while as I am a huge fan of The Blacklist.

The unique POV, the whole concept (0 more)
Nothing. Not one little thing. (0 more)
One of 'those' books that's completely transformative - WOW.
I think this book is astoundingly beautiful. The whole concept of writing from the POV of death was inspirational, and worked exceptionally well. It's a heartbreaking read, and I don't often say that about books. Even if you have no interest in reading about the war whatsoever, you'll still get something out of this. Trust me!

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
1984 | Action, Adventure
Offensive and unnecessarily gruesome
As much as I love Indiana Jones, this film was very offensive. Not only did it portray Indians as savages eating monkey brains (although most of India is vegan or vegetarian), it also showed devotees of Kali, the goddess of war, as some kind of death cult - though she killed people like cultists. I really hated this film mostly because it was unnecessarily gory as well. Not a happy bunny.

A great fun, action, bloody, Grindhouse B-Movie with an all star cast. Not heard much about this, apparently a follow up film from a short trailer from the Death Proof film. So imagine the likes of Sin City, Pulp fiction with a latin feel and tongue in cheek humour firmly in place. A pure fun, entertaining film not to be taken seriously. If you're a fan of Robert Rodriguez's films, you'll like it.

Deuce Winters finds himself a suspect in the death of his high school rival after the man's body is found in his minivan. I enjoyed the characters, especially Deuce and his wife. But I felt the mystery was pretty thin and was annoyed by the author's willful ignoring any sense of time.

The sixth Jaine Austen mystery finds Jaine agreeing to write jokes for an unfunny stand-up comic. But before she can get started, the woman is arrested for murder. The weapon, a pair of pantyhose. Definitely for those who love funny mysteries, this one will keep you laughing while you puzzle over the clues.

My absolute favourite book of all time.
A beautifully written debut novel. Stunning prose help to move the story in such a smooth way.
The story is effortless
The characters perfectly developed.
Proof that true love will over come all obstacles, even death. Character development is whole hearted and true, with everyone becoming something so much more than they were.
Best book ever!!!
