Freelance writer Jaine Austen is trying to land The Mattress King as a new client when his much younger wife is murdered at a party she is giving. Considering she wasn't well liked, Jaine is surprised when her neighbor is accused of the crime. Can Jaine clear him? The mystery was a little too familiar here, but the jokes and crazy situations kept me turning pages in this fast read.

Jaine Austen is off to a spa thanks to neighbor Lance. Only when she gets there, she learns it's really a fat farm. When another of the guests gets murdered just before Jaine is going to escape, she decides to find the killer so she can grab some real food. This is another funny adventure for Jaine, and I laughed my way through it from start to finish.

I don't recommend this as a stand alone, there's just too much going on from previous books in the reaper series and also the fabulous dragon king series. Saying that, this is the first book I've read in the reaper series and I did enjoy it. I'm going to have to read the others to get a few things straight and I'm loving death, who'd have thought he'd be a she! Talin and Neve is a great story and I hope the evil Bran gets what's coming to him soon

Never fails
Having been a fan of the tv show as long as I can remember, I have read this, comprising Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers and Better Than Life, dozens and dozens of times - and can quote great chunks.
Lister is slobbier than ever.
Rimmer is even more of an irritating worm.

The universe, time, death and reality are all their playthings - and I can only begin to imagine what Lister’s isolation on those peculiar worlds would be like.

Arrow - Season 3
Arrow - Season 3
2014 | Drama
The third season expands Team Arrow further, with Laurel Lance taking over the mantle of her sister, street thug Roy and Oliver's annoying sister Thea joining the team separately. The season focuses on the attempt to bring Malcolm Merlyn to justice, and eventually Oliver is forced to challenge Rhas al Ghul in a fight to the death. This season started to get a bit hammier, more panto, with the villain being quite hard to take seriously. It made me long for the days of Deathstroke and a bit of decent fighting.

Thought provoking, sentimental and sad
A wife struggles to deal with her grief over the death of her husband who drowned when they were on holiday. Years later she bumps into the doppelganger of her husband, her consequences of her actions shape the film and events afterwards.

Worth a watch, bittersweet film, portrayed so well you feel empathy for each character and how fleeting life is.

Also I wouldnt call this a comedy....more drama, romance, nostalgia and grief.

I am not normally a fan of books without a “proper” ending, however this book finishes in the perfect place.

It follows Mia after a terrible car accident when she then has to decide is she wants to stay. The book is written very well between what is happening now and previous events from Mia’s life.

This book will make you think about life and death and how you would cope with certain situations.

Very exciting, it would appear there is a sequel set a few years later.

Gripping, moving and thought-provoking, this short series follows a troubled journalist who returns to her childhood hometown to chronicle the investigation into a recent death and new disappearance of young girls. The series covers her issues, her family troubles, the town's history and the underlying layer of grime beneath the Southern hospitality. There are a number of strands to this series, all of which could have filled a series on their own, and are seamlessly intertwined to one complete storyline.
Excellently acted, written and directed, this series does not put a foot wrong.

Nancy Duff, in the context of Christian faith, raises a number of questions for believers to take into account regarding death and making informed end-of-life decisions.

I found this book very helpful in raising questions based on faith as opposed to other books on the subject that have been more medical based.

Certainly a book worth reading and contemplating even if you yourself are not actively concerned about your own end of life. It helps the reader see other considerations that someone facing the end of life will be thinking about.
