I believe this is a debut novel and if Iam correct it was an great start! I loved the uncertainty of the main character and the fact that she made mistakes. It made it way more realistic. The flow of the story went well and was very readable. I hope there is more to come from this author.

Rolling Stone's 56th greatest album of all time
Elvis' debut album, mainly consisting of covers (Carl Perkins' Blue Suede Shoes, Little Richard's Tutti Frutti and Ray Charles' I Got a Woman among them). A decent album but a sign of style over substance for what was to come. He was definitely a performer, there is no denying that.

"There's a simplicity and vulnerability in Justin Vernon's voice that's very easy to listen to. I love this debut album because it feels so lyrically intimate and like there's no one and nothing between you and it. No distracting production to take you away from the feeling. 'Skinny Love,' 'Flume,' and 'Blindsided' are some of the tracks I love."

"Oh, Patty. I miss you! Her debut novel moved me really deeply. It's so personally written, although it is also a dry dissection of an experience with death, also of a brother. Having lost my own brother recently, Patty's book, along with “Fourteen Stories,” reminds me that there is a way out of grief, which is creativity."

I've long touted that artificial sweeteners are poison. Here's a novel that takes that basic premise, brings it into the world of fiction, and watches to see what happens when one of those sweeteners is found to be a real problem. Have we found another Ondaatje? J.R. Crook's debut novel might just remind you of his style, but is ultimately unique. The brevity of the book does nothing if not emphasize the power of the prose and impact of its meaning. You can read my review here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2015/04/08/a-dream-within-a-dream/
