Amazing RH!

This was a fantastic ending to a beautiful series! Kick ass female lead, a hot group of guys, supernatural powers and romance! What more could you want?
It was nice to see Kit confront her demons, and her mother. And she gained a father figure in return. And its amazing to see the group really come together and defeat evil, as cliche as that sounds. And Lucy!!! Plot twist of the century! I could never have seen that coming if her halo hit me in the face! The whole series was a rollercoaster and I literally didn't put my kindle down for 3 straight days! Work be damned! You get so enthralled in her life and you want to know what happens next, even now I need to know about kids and life after!

Tate is a fabulous author and an amazing person (I've met her, so i know its true!) I love all of her books. Check them out!

Who doesn't need a strong, sarcastic, gun toting partner to have their back??

Warning: contains suicide and references to baby deaths/abortion.

Although this is third in, what looks to be, an interesting series it can easily be read as a standalone. There's a little back story on Zack Bolder, our main character, which is woven throughout this story.
I like that we're taken to Australia, it makes a change from the usual backdrops.

I found Zack Bolder likeable with a well written character.....a good depth to him without feeling as though you might drown. And Wellbeck, the strong, sarcastic detective, is quite an interesting character.
The working/personal relationship Bolder has with Wellbeck is just as good, they interact well together, bounce ideas off of each other and have each others back.

With adult themes throughout (not to mention creepy demons etc) I would recommend this for a more mature audience.

You can't run and hide....

I thought the first book had some sad moments.......Sheesh. Evolved has picked up a while later and is just as good as the first.
The heartbreaking events keep happening, the danger is ever present and tolerance of the evolved is low.
Hadi is relying on drugs more heavily than before for more reasons than one. You can't help but feel for him.
James is in a different country and has his own demons following him..... including his feelings for Hadi and the events they came through together.
It's nice to see a closeness between different personalities how they each click in place. A mismatch type of family, just like the rest of us.

As with Hellfire, the first in the series, this is for adults. The themes of death and drug use are still there (drugs being the main one). Again my heart was smashed and the cracks are far bigger.

Dean (6925 KP) rated The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020) in Movies

The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020)
The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020)
2020 | Comedy, Horror
Same cast as the first film (0 more)
Barely any Samara Weaving (0 more)
Why is he still shirtless?
I was quite surprised to see this sequel pop up to surprise hit @The Babysitter (2017) featuring all the original cast. Set 2 years later, although 3 have passed since the first film was made. This time Cole is now at high school and even more of an outcast as no one believes what happened in the first film. It's not long before he needs to face his demons once more.
A good idea on paper perhaps but this is a big step down from the first. Largely due to the setting but really missing Samara Weaving who barely features this time round. Which is a real shame. You definitely need to see the first to get a lot of the in jokes from events of the first. Definitely one sequel that doesn't come close to the original.

DNF @ 25%. Maybe that was a little soon to DNF, but I'd been struggling with it for the last 15% or so.

I liked the beginning, how she went after the demons and just being within metres of her makes them combust. And Emrys' introduction was kinda fun.

I think it was just everything else. We didn't seem to get much information on anything else though, or I was having that much trouble with the style and plot that it just didn't register, and I just lost interest.

I found Jordyn quite annoying/immature and Emrys wasn't really in it that much for me to get an opinion on him...

Admittedly it was a freebie and had been on my kindle for a long time...and I only really tried to read it now as part of an a-z challenge in one of my groups.

It just wasn't really up my alley at all.
