Most Interesting Dice Game I've Played
Players: 2-4
Ages: 8+
Time: 45 minutes

Dice: Guys they are customizable!!! Each side of the dice comes off! You can change them. It's so cool. As you play you have to strategize which die to put your new sides on. Which sides to buy with your gold, and think about what your chances are for rolling that side a lot to benefit you the most. I mean they are basically lego dice. It's amazing.
Componemts: The dice are solid but roll a little different than normal dice. You really have to give them a good roll. If you just lasily through them, sometimes they just end up on the same side it was already on because they are larger and heavier than normal smaller dice.
Play Time: 45 minutes is what it says on the box. If you are just playing the game, acurrate. But if you have to teach the game too. It takes longer. The longest part of teaching the game i found is the cards. The gameplay has a simple flow but the cards are all just symbols and I found I needed the reference guide in the rulebook closeby almost every time I play. The symbols just don't explain enough for each card.
Downtime between turns: There is little to none. On your turn, everyone rolls and then the active player may buy new dice sides or buy a card. The only waiting is for the active player to strategize in what they want to buy. But you can be thinking of that on their turns as well.

A unique and beautiful game
Sagrada is an abstract strategy game about laying colored dice to simulate building a stained glass window. No two dice of the same color can be next to eachother nor can any two dice of the same number. Players also receive a blueprint of sorts that further limits their choices. The result of thse restrictions is every player creating a unique "glass" mosaic of color from their translucent colored dice.
The rules are pretty simple, but there are a few options that can be taken in a turn and some strategy is involved if a person desires to completely fill in their window.

Dice Throne
Dice Throne
2018 | Card Game, Dice Game, Fantasy, Fighting
Dice Throne takes the relaxing rolls of roll-and-write games (evolved from Yahtzee) and turns it into a battle arena duel. Each player takes a different hero and attempts to be the last one standing. Every hero is unique, with different decks to support the dice rolls, different ways to attack, and different ways of defending themselves as well! For the gamer who likes to be fully in control of their destiny, this is not for you. Numerous ways to change your dice rolls, add more potential abilities, and free re-rolls do exist, but in the end it is a dice game, with all the wonderful randomness and emotions that flow with it. A great quick game that is both chill and strategic!

Qwixx Deluxe
Qwixx Deluxe
2016 | Dice Game
This is another fun one. It is quick and easy to learn. Packaged small so it's easy to bring with anywhere. The habe is played by rolling dice of various colors and taking the value of the colored dice you roll. You have your own board to fill out showing the different colored dice numbered 2 to 12. You must pick at least one die to fill in, but if you skip over numbers, you can't go back for them. This is a race to claim the most numbers before they have all been eliminated.
