"Actually you'll hear that a lot of my choices, I realise, are to do with singing and people whose singing styles just so engaged me. I was walking past a kebab shop in North London and I heard this song, and this singer just made my stomach go funny. So I went into the shop and said, ""What are you playing?"" and what he was playing was one of those CDs with about a thousand MP3s on them. I asked him what track it was and he didn't know. I thought, ""I must find this singer"", so I said, ""Can I buy the record from you?"" He didn't want to sell it, you see, because it was the only music they had in the shop. So I gave him £55 for it. He saw a sucker [laughs]. So I got this CD and I went through track after track after track, and I finally find the song, but of course there were no names or anything because it was just a burnt CD. So I went back into the shop with one of my ghetto blasters and said, ""Okay, this is the song, what is it?"" He didn't know so I asked him if he knew anyone that would know so he said, ""Well, I'll ring my dad."" So I'm holding it up to the phone and his dad is down the other end and he says, ""Oh well that's Belkis Akkale, obviously."" She's singing here on the last track of this album ('Ötüşün Kuşlar') by a songwriter called Arif Sag. There's three great singers on this track and Belkis Akkale comes first. It's very interesting hearing the difference between their three voices. It's like a glossary of contemporary Turkish singing. Her voice is the one that does it for me. The other two don't have the erotic wobble that she has."

This book was an absolute rollercoaster! I started off by not being too sure about the three main characters - each of which has chapters written for their own points of view and stories. Millie, the kleptomaniac granny who seems to enjoy getting herself into trouble; Aideen, the typical moody teenager who despises her twin; and Kevin who has to deal with them both whilst coming to terms that he has been laid off from his job. I wasn’t too keen on Millie at the start and was a bit indifferent to Aideen, but as the story went on I found myself growing to like them more and more with the outrageous situations they both seemed to get themselves into. However, towards the middle of the book, I really started to dislike Kevin because of the things he was getting up to (no spoilers!) but he then redeemed himself and towards the end of the book, I really liked him again and saw that the other two just had the knack of driving him a little crazy!

There are some funny situations that I could see so vividly in my head, from Millie sneaking out of a care home and being caught by security after she hid behind a potted plant and farted to Aideen and her friend being flashed whilst trying to meet up with the boy she likes and the difference in reactions between the three of them, there really are some moments that tickled me throughout this whole book.

It did get a little bit far fetched when they ran away to America, but if you take it as complete fiction, you can enjoy it for what it is without thinking too much into the logistics of what is happening.

I would definitely recommend this book for a little lighthearted reading, and would like to thank Rebecca Hardiman and Pigeonhole for letting me read this little gem of a book!

I find Hart and Haddish to be two peas in a pod when it comes to their comedy style. The only difference is that I can watch a whole Kevin Hart film without getting bored of it. So having them both in a film together was a little worrying. But I really didn't need to worry. They work really well together.

What I will say is that I wasn't convinced until around the mid-way point when they change up the learning side of things. The first bit was a little short on the really entertaining comedy and I was getting restless, but the rest had everyone laughing out loud. I will say that there's one bit that really made me feel awful... I honestly was seconds away from throwing up... you'll see it coming and you will probably be hollering "nooo" like most of us in the screen did.

The support cast is great and everyone plays a brilliant little piece in the film. Mary Lynn Rajskub made me chuckle a lot, it's a very different character to what most of us would be used to seeing her doing.

There are some movie occurences that you can see happening and you can take comfort in that you know they're coming. This film teases one right under your nose for most of it's run and the rips it away from you. It is both nice and infuriating that they don't take that turn.

It's definitely a fun film, but it's a fairly average one. If it hadn't been for the awkward comedy in the first section of the film then I think this could have been one that went on my go to cheer up film list.

What should you do?

It's worth streaming and seeing at least once. It won't tax your brain and it'll be a good diversion for a couple of hours.
