"Comedy boils the global stew down to our common humanity, making difference attractive rather than frightening. I like that Kaurismäki can engage with heavy contemporary problems in a gently humorous way. And he has always managed to show working class characters as full individuals."

"I loved that about Lenny as well — it combines this documentary feel and captures a spirit of who the true people were, separate from who the performer was. I love that sort of dialogue in cinema in general. It’s sort of the difference between the private and the public."

If nothing else, this book serves as a great reminder that the little things in life can make all the difference in the world.

Quite a quick read and easy to do so. Has the potential to be motivational and beneficial to all who take the time to read.

Sports has never been my forte. I don't watch sports, I don't play sports and I definitely don't read sports.

But I am all for supporting women who are making a difference.

And this is exactly what this story is about.

I really enjoyed this book. It give different views of members of a family and how they view other members and their life. It's interesting to see how the Taliban changed things, and how things changed post-Taliban. It is also interesting to read about the female-male difference, in responsibility and view.

Pretty good!
A big difference to the Teeanage Witch I watched in the 90s. I have found it to be a great easy watch. It has a good plot and the characters are good to. My only problem is.... Salem. He doesn't talk. His sass is missed!

"What is it about that two percent difference in DNA that has created such a divergence between evolutionary cousins? … renowned Pulitzer Prize–winning author and scientist Jared Diamond explores how the extraordinary human animal, in a remarkably short time, developed the capacity to rule the world … and the means to irrevocably destroy it."

A strange film and a must for gamers. Set in the future where virtual reality games rule, this follows the latest game to be unveiled which leaves it hard to tell the difference between the game and reality. A great idea, but would benefit from repeat viewings to fully grasp what is going on!

Peter Rabbit (2018)
Peter Rabbit (2018)

Disclaimer: I saw this movie on accident. I went to see Early Man, but the projectionist put the wrong movie in, then left. So, no one was able to change it over. Now, I just get to see Early Man for free tonight.
So, this movie is based solely on the illustrations of Peter Rabbit and his various friends from Beatrix Potter's children's books. The movie was amusing, and I laughed at it, as an adult, so I figure that's fairly impressive. The voice acting for all of the animals was great. I did think the difference in age between Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson was a little off, I know there's only a 4 year difference, but it was just a little weird.
