Only saw a trailer for this last week and with 2 such great lead actors in the main roles thought I'd check it. It's a decent thriller as a con and scam artist thinks he can con a woman out of her fortune.
There's a decent back story to be told about our characters that you wouldn't have guessed. Although overall the film pans out as you probably would expect it to. Enjoy it for 2 great leads in the same film, especially with McKellen in a very different role for him.

Average Netflix Thriller
A bog standard thriller that seems to be a main staple with netflix nowadays.Mackie and Grillo deserve so much better given they have been in the MCU.The plot isnt up to much, convict (grillo) has evidence of dirty cops and has to find a way of exposing them with the help of his nurse (mackie) who has had his pregnant wife kidnapped by said convicts brother.

1 or 2 ok action scenes and a few car chases make this a passable but instantly forgettable film.

Sebastian Stan recommended Taxi Driver (1976) in Movies (curated)

"One of the things I like about Scorsese so much is – and we had a little bit of that in I, Tonya – I love the sweeping shots. I love the way he shoots. The way the camera gets pushed in, zoomed in. I think visually is how I respond to him a lot. And he’s also a very musically-oriented guy. But the thing about Taxi Driver is, everything is done from Travis’s point of view. It’s all shot through these windows, these sort of glossy, dirty taxi windows. Everything is meant to highlight his isolation and how lonely he is."

"Dirty and loud, this film put a face to the music that represented the ultimate freedom from the suburbs. Pre-YouTube, footage of these bands was super hard to come by. There were only a couple videotapes floating around… and once in a while, you could see something truly outré on “120 Minutes”… but in truth, if you weren’t in LA/NY/DC, you missed out on most of the scene. Like water to the desert, Penelope Spheeris’s film brought the culture into our lives. And shortly thereafter, I had myself a hideous painted leather jacket — just like Darby Crash."
