I finally finished it!

That makes it sound bad, but it wasn't, it was actually pretty good--it just took me 11 days to read. I just have to be in a particular mood to read erotica.

3 star for the erotica/sex scenes/dirty talk/play acting
5 star for the romance/trips around Paris/sexual tension

Eventual 4 star rating

It still has the usual hot and heavy Christina Lauren style to it but I didn't enjoy this as much as Beautiful Bastard. Maybe it was the wedding. I wasn't expecting that to happen and it threw me for a loop completely.

Movie Favorite Watch

"Well, first off, I’ll say Beetlejuice because that is my number one movie of all time, period. I know it’s not like no f—in’ Orson Welles s—, but I swear to god, Beetlejuice was, to me, the greatest movie ever made. It’s amazing, and it’s so fun. It’s so fun and it ages well. You know, watching it as a kid was great, and as you get older you’re like, “Oh these were some dirty jokes in here.” I remember I loved it then, and then I got high and saw it, and I was like, “Oh my god! Dude, what the…” It was amazing."

"I read this book in high school when it was first published. It had the reputation of being “dirty.” It did not disappoint: I was all of 14. It was also deliciously funny. It still is. Its status is secure and I doubt there’s a “Best” list it’s not on. It’s wildly romantic, scathingly satiric of middle-class Americans as only a European aristocrat can see us, and ultimately deeply moving. Lolita is the light of everyone’s loins. Humbert Humbert’s despair is anyone’s who has loved and lost in vain. Nabokov “gets” America and Americans. He is one of the great writers in English and it wasn’t even his first language."

It's definitely something new... not like anything else (2 more)

I actually quite enjoy the storyline, even though it is like a dirty version of twilight.

The raunch is quite entertaining 😂

The books are only known for their raunchy side which is a shame. (1 more)

The writing isn't too cracking.

I'm just romantic

Now I know the storyline isn't the best, neither is the writing but I still enjoy these books.
Also, since the books came out, people who are THAT way inclined, don't have to feel it's wrong, unusual or taboo. Between two consenting adults, there isn't anything wrong with it. (Although it is too much for my taste!)
