Their dad did them dirty, in my opinion. He had no hesitation in using Ajax as the 'spare', especially once Axel met his mate. Ajax yearned for more and could see benefits to the pack moving with the times that his dad and Axel didn't - or couldn't! Once their parents are killed, Axel doubles down and locks down the pack. Ajax leaves, knowing he won't be welcomed back. BUT, by doing so, he meets his mate, human Marti.
She runs a small gym with her father, Domingo, who wants Ajax to be a headliner for a tournament they're setting up. She is curvy, smart, sassy, and a complete bookworm who is allergic to sweat! I loved her. So naive in some ways, so worldly-wise in others. She gave Ajax a run for his money but was also there for him when he needed her.
A great story that gives more information on the man who played such a big role in Ava's life, telling you how he ended up where he did and anything else you could want. Definitely recommended by me.

Awix (3310 KP) rated Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance in TV
May 21, 2018 (Updated May 21, 2018)
Everything is very clearly presented as the tale of a modern, progressive, independent woman who ain't gonna take no nonsense from this troubled scion of a gaggle of hidebound inbreds; Meghan is the heroine who saves Harry from the crushing oppressiveness of royal tradition. You go, your grace!
Direction is bland, acting mostly indifferent, dialogue execrable. Worth watching for: the scene where Meghan ends up chasing Harry's private jet down the runway after precipitately chucking him. The subplot about Princess Diana being reincarnated as a lion. Some very surprising dialogue ('I love a dirty martini,' says the Duchess of Cornwall). Possibly the least accurate depiction of the Queen ever put on screen - she complains about how she's shown in The Crown, in a nicely meta moment.
Pervasive sense of double-think permeates the production: film is consistently down on the royals, which is odd when you consider that if Harry wasn't a royal it wouldn't actually exist. Media intrusion on the couple is also strongly frowned upon, but if making a whole movie fictionalising their lives isn't an intrusion of some sort, what is? Soon to pass into obscurity, I reckon, but an arresting, mutant production while it's with us.

Debbiereadsbook (1441 KP) rated Mr June (Calendar Men #6) in Books
Jul 2, 2018
This is book 6 in the Calendar Men series, and I would recommend you read Jan through May before this one, if only to give you a better picture of this photo shoot and what's happened up to now. Not totally necessary though.
Having dumped his boyfriend right after shooting their photo for June, Ilias finds himself on a callout to a fight at a local doctor's office. Meeting Henry makes his heart swell with everything he had been looking for up to this point. There is just a small matter of someone dealing drugs out of Henry's office!
I'm really enjoying this series.
They have, for the most part, (May not included!) just the right amount of loves, drama, sexy time, emotions and the whole gamut of emotions that need to be in a book to make them engaging and enjoyable.
This one did seem a little longer than the rest, but they are all a similar page length.
I loved Ilias and Henry, both separately and together. They really are perfect for each other!
While it's painfully obvious (to me anyway) WHO is doing the dirty on Henry, I liked being proved correct, just as much as I would have liked to have been proven wrong!
I read this in one sitting while suffering from a book AND an alcohol hangover, so despite its longer length, there it will sit!
Great addition to the series. Love to see what happens next with this shoot!
4 solid stars

Darren (1599 KP) rated Already Dead (2008) in Movies
Jun 20, 2019
As the night continues he gets put through tests by the man on the phone including being able to get revenge on the man that killed his son, but are these just tests where they criminal is getting this man to do his dirty work. We watch how the twists are laid into plan for this film as they come thick and fast.
Already Dead gives us a story which asks you the question just how far would you go to get revenge on the person who took and killed your son, but it also throws a twist in their where we have to deal with the idea the cops have created a game to rid the streets of criminals of people they don’t want or can’t deal with through legal reasons. I would question certain character decisions because after what happens would these two men be friends, I think not.
Onto the acting and what can I say, this doesn’t have the best acting from any of the people involved with the lead struggling to make any sort of impact in the screen and most of the supporting cast barely doing anything of merit.
Overall: Thriller that lacks all the punches it needs to truly stand out.
