What job for Elsie?
The about is based on reading this book to my 5 and a half month old son.

What I did like with this book is the inclusion of disscussion points. These are perfect to engage an older child who has read the book or had it read to them.

Great action and story
I went to see this in theaters with my grandma. We both thought it was great and it gave me a chance to have an open discussion about the actual event. My grandma was a little girl when this event happened, so it was interesting to hear her point of view.

Great movie to show culture to kids
Since the movie is based in the Polynesian islands and does have some focus on ancient traditions, it gives way for parents to have a discussion about the importance of culture and traditions in not just the Polynesian islands, but all families. The movie has a good storyline and soundtrack. It is worth watching as a family.

I wasn't really sure what to expect from this book. It was recommended to me via a discussion in one of my classes, and I hadn't even heard of it before. The story drew me in and kept me. I finished the book within 24 hours cause I just couldn't put it down. It's hands down the best books I've read so far this year.

The Star Wars podcast with the longest track record of any Star Wars podcast. Jason Swank and Jimmy Mac work tirelessly on giving you all the Star Wars every week.
They are both guys with long time radio and podcasting pedigrees so it comes as no surprise that their show is always well edited and has great production value.

They always bring on great guest stars including Rebels creator Dave Filoni among others. You can always count on well rounded Star Wars discussion.

They also do voicemail responses to fans on the show so if you want to join the discussion, there is always an opportunity.

The only downside I have with them is at times they react to things without doing a lot of investigating, which I think is a big negative for easily the most downloaded Star Wars podcast ever. There have been a number of times I have known answers to questions they ask or know why something they go off on makes perfect sense. And I don't just mean inane Star Wars trivia. I just mean I read the basic officially released stuff all the way through before reacting.

Otherwise they are great and always entertaining. You are pretty much not part of the Star Wars community discussion if you don't tune in to them at least occasionally.

"He has to be in the discussion. He made one masterpiece after another, and you can’t even pick which is the best. What are you going to say, that Close Encounters (1977, 95%) was better than E.T. (1982, 98%), was better than Raiders of the Lost Ark (1982, 94%)? You just can’t do it. You can’t do it with Ford, and you can’t do it with Capra either."

Enthralling thriller that promotes discussion.
Having only seen the trailer and done all I could to avoid spoilers. I wasn't sure what to expect with this film. The only thing I knew was that being a Peele film, I knew it would make me think and would be deeper than the average horror flick. The suspense and action are taut throughout and keeps you enwrapped. Little pieces of the plot are paced beautifully throughout and the performances are on point. You're left with questions well past the final reveal and the movie's message promotes inner thought. Any movie that can keep you enthralled from the opening scene to the final one and also promotes discussion is a win-win in my books. May have to rewatch this just to take in more of the messages throughout.

A small discussion about the negativity around comparing skills. Don't worry, it ends on a positive note. I hope this helps someone who is feeling down about their skill level. You can check out the rest of my blog too if you are interesting in the world of books and bibliophiles.
