This was the first time i ever saw "Hocus Pocus" and i thought it was great. A halloween classic. You have witches, trick or treating, candy, cat, and more. Its a classic.
The plot: After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.
It was not a critical or commercial success upon its release, possibly losing Disney around $16.5 million during its theatrical run. However, largely through annual airings on Disney Channel and Freeform (formerly ABC Family), Hocus Pocus has been rediscovered by audiences, resulting in a yearly spike in home video sales of the film every Halloween season that has helped make it a cult classic.
Various rewrites were made to the script to make the film more comedic and made two of its young protagonists into teenagers; however, production was stalled several times until 1992, when Bette Midler expressed interest in the script and the project immediately went forward.
Midler, who plays the central antagonist of the film (originally written for Cloris Leachman), is quoted as saying that Hocus Pocus "was the most fun I'd had in my career up to that point.
Leonardo DiCaprio was originally offered the lead role of Max, but declined it in order to pursue What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
Like i said before its a halloween classic.

There are just some things that probably shouldn't be seen again, and for me the Little Mermaid is one of them. Any Disney movie with singable song in is a win for me, and of course, throw in a singalong version and it's even better. It doesn't really change the fact that... perhaps... *hushed tones* this one isn't a particularly good film. I know. I'm sorry. But apart from the bits with the big three songs in, nothing overly exciting happens. And poor old Ursula's song really isn't that good either, and I love a good villain song.
By far the best bit about this whole event was the audience. There were 17 of us watching, including the Ariel from the lobby, three children, 1 father, with the rest exclusively women over the age of 25. But out of those it was the family of four in front of me that won the evening.
They were wonderful. Mum, dad, daughter of about three and baby. Never judge a book by it's cover, I honestly thought dad was there under duress... but no I'll get to that in a bit. Cue the trailers, and The Incredibles 2. Frozone comes on the screen and daughter goes "daddy he looks like you!" And yes, the similarity was uncanny. Daughter is laughing, mum is laughing, I'm laughing. Dad turns to her completely deadpan and says "it's not funny, we don't laugh about it." But we all did. The movie starts and daughter is humming the Disney tune as the logo comes up. It was one of the cutest things I've witnessed, until the film itself starts up. Dad is singing along with he rest of us, he's even reciting the words of the script to his daughter... with voices. People... that's family goals right there.

Often cited as the best thing to come out of 'The Phantom Menace', the athletic Darth Maul has developed quite a bit of a fan following since his debut.
Which Lucasfilm (as was) and Disney/Marvel obviously recognised, with - in the expanded universe - Maul surviving his encounter with and bisection by Kenobi, even - SPOILER ALERT - cameoing in the recent Han Solo prequel movie.
This collection of stories, apparently (or so I've heard) is developed from unused Clone Wars scripts, which might explain how - I felt - it assumed familiarity with events that aren't covered/shown in the movies.
For me, that was a bit of a put-off: since I had no previous connection with most of the characters (apart from the obvious, like Maul himself or The Emperor or Sidious), it's kind of hard to care what happens to them!

Disney in the 80's noticed the trend that horror movies were making quite a bit of money and they were a struggling company financially so they decided they were going to make some scary and sci do movies including watcher in the woods, The Black Hole and This movie Which is based On A ray Bradbury Book. I Must say first that I Have not read the book so my review Is based upon the movie alone! This is scary and definitely not recommended for young viewers that being said it is not a horror movie but is extremely dark with some frightening moments. Mr. Dark and his carnival come to town when things start to happen to the townspeople can two young boys stop mr. Dark from his sinister plans or will they be the next

Big-budget attempt by Disney to cash in on the success of Star Wars; this sort of thing doesn't happen any more, obviously. Science vessel from Earth discovers fabled lost vessel from a generation before, mysteriously hanging over a black hole; they choose to investigate, eventually there are ray gun battles.
Distinctly odd movie which can't seem to decide whether it's a cheery George Lucas-style family-friendly adventure extravaganza with cute robots and zap guns aplenty, or a post-Stanley Kubrick tale of existential contemplation and all-pervading gloom. In the end the dark tone is mostly triumphant - bemusing final sequence reveals black hole is actually a gateway to hell, which may explain why this has been acclaimed as the most scientifically inaccurate movie in history. Decent cast try hard; very good score from John Barry helps keep things moving along.

Top 5 Pixar films on my list...
This movie changed my childhood... literally! The toys and stuffed bears I had on my bed became friends I had to talk to and kiss goodnight incase they 'woke up' and killed me or something in my sleep. Even now I find myself wondering if I knocked it or if that Winnie Pooh bear was about to reach out for me.
Back onto the topic of the movie though. Its amazing! Such a strange concept and one only Disney could be capable of telling in such an amazingly childish way (I'm looking at you chucky...). I've seen it so many times and each time I spot something I missed the last, it just gets better! Such a timeless film and one every child, or even adult, needs to see!

As a huge Disney /pixar fan, like others I waited years and years for this to come out. So when it did, I was so excited I actually went to the screening of it without my children. But Im so sad to say I wasnt overly fussed on it. There were some seriously funny bits in it. But overall I thought it was a bit, meh! The story line with Jack Jack seemed to take over the majority of the story, which was very funny but didn't have much to do with the main story line,i guess it's an easy way for them to be able to follow up with a 3rd film? I guess sequels are harder to beat than the originals but here's to hoping the 3rd is better?! My children loved it though aha

You Can Fly
Peter Pan- one of my all time favorite disney classic animations. I remember this one the most. I remember the charcters, the villian- captain hook, peter pan, Tick-Tock the Crocodile, tinker bell, the lost boys, the mermaids, mr. Smee, the idians, the cheif and the message of the movie- growing up.
The Plot: Wendy (Kathryn Beaumont) and her two brothers are amazed when a magical boy named Peter Pan (Bobby Driscoll) flies into their bedroom, supposedly in pursuit of his rebellious shadow. He and his fairy friend, Tinkerbell, come from a far-off place called Neverland, where children stay perpetually young. Enchanted, the kids follow him back. But when Pan's nemesis, the pirate Captain Hook (Hans Conried), causes trouble, the kids begin to miss their old life.
Its a phenomenal movie, with a great/fantastic/excellent message.

Beauty and the Beast- such a classic, with excellent songs like.."Belle", "Gaston", "Something There", "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast".
The plot: An arrogant young prince (Robby Benson) and his castle's servants fall under the spell of a wicked enchantress, who turns him into the hideous Beast until he learns to love and be loved in return. The spirited, headstrong village girl Belle (Paige O'Hara) enters the Beast's castle after he imprisons her father Maurice (Rex Everhart). With the help of his enchanted servants, including the matronly Mrs. Potts (Angela Lansbury), Belle begins to draw the cold-hearted Beast out of his isolation.
Such a classic movie than their had to remake it. Grr. Like why disney, oh yea i know why $$$. What next a live action of "The Brave Little Toaster".
