"An almost perfect album. Apart from one mistake – there's a joke song on it. I think jokes should never be on records, they just don't last. The record is such an incredibly serious record, it's one of the most grown-up records ever made in that the things she's talking about and thinking about are such serious and complicated emotional situations. It's one of the only records where I actually care about the lyrics. I really listen to the lyrics and think about what she's trying to say. I've always said that country music is grown-up and she came more out of country than out of pop. Whereas pop is always about the problems of adolescence really, hooking up with someone and whether she really likes you or not, when you get to country music it's about mortgages and divorce and things like that [laughs]. It seems to me to be about real-life, grown-up issues and so seems much more interesting to me lyrically."

The protagonist in this book is Laura, and this book is told from her perspective only. I really liked Laura, she is a very independent woman, who really loves her little girl, and feels quite down after her divorce. She is trying to rebuild her life, and I salute her for that. I liked the characters that the author picked out for this book, they are all very glamorous and quite grotesque. I really loved how real Laura was in this posh and “plastic” environment. I really enjoyed the contrast between the rich and the normal worlds, that the author described in this novel, it was quite fascinating.

The narrative was not as strong as I hoped it will be. I enjoyed the story and the interactions between the characters, but I was missing the suspense and the moments when I am left with my mouth open due to a surprising and mind-blowing twist. (That did happen in the past

Brilliant thriller!
Brilliant films with really good characters.

The story line is amazing and allows your to fully understand the characters feelings and emotions and shows what there going through and how tough life is at this moment in time.

It all starts with a lady going through a tough divorce, she is already late trying to get her child to school she looses her biggest client and her soon to be ex-husband is making her life tough. Pulling up to a junction she honks her horn to a guy that doesn't seem to be moving........this was the wrong move as she soon learns this maniac doesn't let things go and begins stalker her and making her pay for her 'rudeness' and unforgiving personality. This is a matter of life and death as she puts everyone she knows in danger, plenty of gore and kept me in the edge of my seat throughout.

Highly recommended.
