What can I say, other than it is getting terrible reviews?
Starring Jared Leto and Matt Smith, you think the former would have learned from his abysmal Suicide Squad role, with the latter not seeming to have much luck at all with his Hollywood choices despite starring as one of the biggest names in British TV: that of The Doctor.
Basically? Leto plays a scientist suffering from a rare blood disorder who, in an attempt to cure himself by splicing Vampire Bat DNA to his own (don't think too hard about the science!) manages to turn himself into (more or less) a vampire. Anti-hero, basically.
Set in the same universe as Venom - with those films getting a wink wink nudge nudge moment - if not the main MCU this is relatively short, very murkily shot (I still haven't got a clue what went on during the final scenes) and lacks the draw of Tom Hardy completely over acting.

In order to do so, he also forged numerous official documents, which brings him to the attention of Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks), who makes it his mission to capture Abagnale, with the two then forming a sort of co-dependent relationship on each other.
It's not a bad movie by any means, with it also attempting to provide some form of justification/explanation for Frank's actions through the lens of his childhood and his relationships with his parents, although I did find it a little slow to start with.

If I Can’t Have You

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After fleeing Manchester for London, Constance Little attempts to put past tragedies behind her and make a fresh start. When she embarks on a relationship with the new doctor at the medical practice where she works, she’s convinced she’s finally found the love and security she craves.
Then he ends it.
But if life has taught her anything, it’s that if you love someone, you should never let them go.
That's why for Constance Little, her obsession is only just beginning . . .
This was a really really good read. I mean from that first chapter you are hooked and need to know how she ended up in the situation, you will not be disappointed! This is a tragic story of loss and obsession it leaves you feeling uneasy and unsure of who to feel bad for. Really good read.

Henry has been disgraced in his London medical practice, and takes a job as a doctor in a small Welsh mining village. A lucky break, perhaps? Except, no. The inhabitants of the village don’t like him at all, because he’s English, his employer, the local Lord, is decidedly odd and menacing, and Lord Julian’s sister is clearly suffering from some sort of mental illness.
Henry does start to like the village, and the villagers learn that he will help them with no conditions.
There’s an underlying menace throughout the book, and if I were Henry I wouldn’t have stayed to tough it out!
The descriptions of the village and the family seat, swing between beauty (particularly the landscape) and dread. I felt as a reader I was constantly being wrong-footed, played with. It really is a good read - the tension!!
Most definitely recommended!
