A real tearjerker of a documentary
It felt weird rating this documentary as "epic," but whatever.
I saw this in theaters this week and cried like a little girl. This is a documentary about a wonderful man who did wonderful things. It showcased how he cared--truly, truly cared--and it called on the audience to remember his message: that you don't have to do anything spectacular to be special. You're perfect just the way you are. You have inherent value as a person, and you deserve to be loved and to be able to love.
If ever there was a man who embodied Christian values, it was Mr. Rodgers. The interviews here were especially poignant. They have the diverse cast and crew offer their memories and opinions. Some are heartbreaking, like interview with Francois "Officer" Clemmons.
Do yourself a favor. Watch this documentary. Remember what you learned all those years ago: you are perfect just the way you are.

Matthew Krueger (10051 KP) rated Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th (2013) in Movies

Jason Forever
Crystal Lake: The Complete History of Friday The 13th is a excellent documentary of the whole history of the Friday The 13th franchise. Going through each one of them, learn how their got made, interviews with cast memebers, the history of them and more. This is the first horror documentary that i watched and what a excellent start. I love the Friday The 13th franchise, and so watching a documentary about the whole franchise with cast members and learn more about each movies production was intresting. My favorite one is the third one, cause thats where Jason first wears his Hockey Mask and its in 3D and also that theme song. Kane Hodder is my favorite Jason and just wish he was in Freddy vs. Jason. Anways if you love the Friday The 13th franchise and want to learn more about the productions of each one of them, how their got made, the cast interviews and more than you will love this documentary.
Erika (17788 KP) rated Fyre Fraud (2019) in Movies
Feb 13, 2019
I watched this documentary second, in my makeshift Fyre-Festival-Flu watch. This documentary actually interviewed the skeezy dude that thought up the whole mess, and tried to maybe humanize him. Dude is straight up skeezy and not remorseful.
This approached it from more of a financial-fraud aspect, which is what I deal with every day, so I find it interested. It also had some of these ridiculous 'influencers' interviewed as well, and sorry, I still find it hard to have sympathy.
I did like this documentary a little better than the Netflix one, but they both ended up pretty good. Again, I hope the d-bag wasn't paid at all.

JUMPCUT ONLINE (77 KP) rated Amazing Grace (2019) in Movies
Jul 3, 2019
Those who prefer standard documentaries which feature talking heads and charter a subject’s life, will probably be frustrated or put off by this documentary. To call it a documentary is perhaps the wrong term. Amazing Grace goes beyond the usual constraints of the documentary format and as a result we are left with a more intimate portrait of the singer. As they say an image tells a thousand words. To sum up, Amazing Grace is more than just amazing. It’s a soulful, spiritual, spellbounding, and stunning journey. Do try to seek it out on the big screen and with a large audience. You will not regret your decision.

Paul (106 KP) rated Being Frank: The Chris Sievey Story (2019) in Movies

Excellent documentary funny, heartfelt but honest.
I can truely say this was an excellent documentary regarding a talent that was genius. Tells of young Chris and how he adapted his way of thinking to create the great Frank Sidebottom and the internal conflict it created within the artist.
Its funny, moving and doesn't paint Mr Sievy to be an angel. It's a must watch for any fans of comedy.
