Wasn't what I expected
It was a very interesting take on the world war two era, very politically based but an interesting insight on how the UK handled those troubling times. I enjoyed it profusely, it was almost a documentary film if it hasn't already been categorised as one. Definitely worth the watch!

You just couldn’t make it up
Brilliant documentary, as the header says you could not make this stuff up. I have been to these type of zoos when I have visited America and they are all family run and some have looked tacky. Watched most of it in one sitting and had only to stop to eat as supper was ready, cannot wait to finish it off.

"I had been thinking of this book of essays since I saw the Baldwin documentary I Am Not Your Negro last year, and dipped back into it recently—I hadn’t read it since high school. Back then, it hit me hard. I realized there was a counter-narrative to all the history I had been taught, and I learned that lesson through Baldwin’s beautiful anger."

"It was like watching a documentary but it wasn’t. There’s a scene with Lar Lubovitch, who I ended up working with as a professional, where he’s choreographing a piece on Neve Campbell. It seemed they just let the cameras roll; it was so real. It was like being in the studio and watching them rehearse. It was a window into the life of a dancer."

"Another film that feels like a documentary. Garrone has managed to take all the sentimental glamour out of the Mafia—which sneaks into a lot of films on the subject—and shows it to be the frightening, feeling-less business that it must be. Paradoxically, the lack of emotion is what gives the film its power, and what ultimately makes it so moving and memorable."

"This was the first film we saw that felt like it spanned a lifetime, and I mean that in the best way. It blurs the lines of documentary with total access and beauty. The experience of living these two kids’ lives with them is something that can’t be shaken. The memories are implanted in your brain, and you’ll be happy you can’t forget them."

Boring (0 more)
I have no idea as to why I watched this to the end. This was so boring and there was nothing new about this documentary. This was so boring, I got up and cleaned my bathroom, and didn't miss anything.
The choice to do a re-enactment of the dude being in the creepy frat-like Christian org was a bad one. Again, boring.

So the story goes that Antrum was believed to have been lost and a sole copy of the film was tracked down and packaged for public release.

The film opens with a short 10-minute documentary which examines the dark history of the film, after which you are given the opportunity to watch the original version of this cursed film at their own risk!

The Sunflowers documentary is not just for art lovers, the production is a delight to watch for anyone that has or hasn’t got an eye for art, it’s a fascinating journey that is a pure delight to watch, I would recommend that if you get the chance to see Sunflowers then grab the chance and give your life a little bit of culture.

This Is a Robbery: The World's Greatest Art Heist
This Is a Robbery: The World's Greatest Art Heist

My review of this documentary may be slightly bias because I've read several books on the Gardner Heist, including the FBI Agent's memoir who nearly tracked down the missing paintings, but got stuck in a pissing contest between agencies.
First, I felt like they should have had this FBI Agent contribute more to the documentary, rather than presenting some other theories as to where the paintings ended up. I actually thought they were going to have him appear in the last ep, but he didn't. This would have bumped up the rating for me, honestly.
Second, so many conspiracy theories with the Italian mob. I just shook my head at this. Way too much focus. The police department's focus seemed half-ass, and like they took the easy way out by blaming the mob, then didn't interview actual witnesses again.
The BEST PART of this documentary series was when they interviewed a guy that is a member of the IRA. There was a theory that the IRA had lifted them. The guy basically told everyone to F-off, because the IRA wasn't involved. I cackled because it was completely hilarious.
Overall, this was just ok. It would probably be really interesting for people that don't know anything, or very little, about the Heist. Sure, this heist is interesting, but not 'The World's Greatest Heist'.
