If you are not already acquainted with this series, and you are a fan of horror and/or psychological thriller fiction, this is an absolutely perfect place to start. It is written in parts, detailing Asakawa’s investigation of a set of mysterious murders and the discovery of a far greater curse. No part is so long as to drag on needlessly, though some are rather short.

Have you heard of Gertrude Bell, no neither had I. Another bit of unknown history that nobody really knows. The film is a bit ploddy and seams to drag in places but the scenery and music is quite atmospheric and if you watch this film, watch it for that. Quite interesting though and makes you wish that this was taught in history in schools otherwise it will soon be forgotten.

Hmmm... What can I say?
How about, this show is absolutely amazing!
I love it so much and have since the first episode. I have even got many people (including my mum) into watching it due to all the amazing aspects within it, such as Comedy, Drama, Heartfelt and Drag Queens!
Many competitions and challenges and the runway looks are stunning most of the time.
Would 100% recommend!

Cinda Williams Chima is the best author I have found in a long time. The problem with many fantasy novels is that they often tend to drag a lot towards the middle, especially during the fight scenes. This is not the case with this author, who offers exciting twists around every corner and a plethora of hilarious metaphors. This book is a must read for any fantasy lover.

I thought I'd really like this, but I just didn't. I understand what they were doing with the characters, but the first volume seemed to drag on without anything major happening. Everything that happened seemed not to propel the story forward in an enticing way. It almost seemed repetitive, though they WERE moving forward. This first volume just "was". Maybe others will enjoy it more than I did.

This one didn't drag me in like the first but I did enjoy it.
The camaraderie is still there in spades between pretty much all of them now. Alexis and Kierans relationship progressed quite nicely and we solved a few mysteries from the first book.
I will be reading the next book just to see what's going to happen next with this gang of amazing people.

Every time you think you have something figured out in this book, the author throws you a curveball. I never knew what to expect when reading this book but enjoyed it overall. The world building was good, but I hope it is developed more in subsequent books. It could be so rich and immersive if that happens. Some of the scenes were weak and made the pacing drag. The main character is relatable despite her unexpected change in station and dramatic odyssey. As seems typical in recent YA fiction there is an element of a love triangle. I don't find it entirely believable, so it pulls me out of the narrative at times. Some of the scenes were weak and made the pacing drag. Overall, it's an enjoyable read and I will be reading the subsequent books in the series. Definitely recommend reading this book if you like YA fiction about space, technology, bad guys, adventure or romance.
