Daring Provocation ( Shadow Veil Academy 3)

Sometimes patience isn't a virtue.
Facing off with Malina didn't go quite how Raegan hoped, but she isn't one to give up easily. Now, she's back at school and more than eager to do whatever is necessary in order to protect those she loves most.
When a team is assembled and training begins in class, Raegan and Enzo grow closer than ever, but their happily-ever-after isn't within their grasp just yet. As one obstacle after another appears in their path, it will take ever bit of patience Raegan doesn't have in order to make it through.
With the final showdown drawing near, their team travels to New Orleans in hopes of keeping the battle away from school, but even then, the collateral damage might be more than any of them could have ever predicted. With more than one life at risk, Raegan will be forced to make choices she might never be able to recover from.
I do think this was the weakest of the 3 and didn’t really get me excited until the end. Although I did enjoy it I found most of it quite predictable. The series on a whole was really good especially for those that like dragon shifters which are a weakness of mine 😂

He was the talented bad boy everyone wanted.
I was the irrelevant geek everyone hated.
He was the sun...drawing all of us in.
I was a black hole...taking up space.
He was destined to be a star.
I was destined to remain an insignificant no one.
Until he made me believe I was special...
And then he destroyed me.
I never thought I'd see Phoenix Walker again after he broke my heart, but fate had other plans.
One tour. Eight weeks. Forty shows.
Countless opportunities to make him pay.
The world thought he was a God...
But I knew the truth.
This was not what I was expecting at all!! I first of all did not expect this to have me crying at 3am in the morning. Honestly Lennon was one of those characters that completely steals your heart shes that girl we all are well except for the talent! She’s not some skinny popular girl and what happens to her is heartbreaking genuinely right through to the ends she is a really gem of a character. I’m such an emotional reader and this book had me gripped. Phoenix is a dick from start to finish i still don’t think he deserves her at the end either!

This story goes beyond the love and friendship surface and digs deep into the sensual world of danger and excitement from which the main character, middle-aged Eve Armanton, blossoms. But this is no normal voyage of self-discovery, but an empowering awakening brought on by a much younger musician Micajah, and a mysterious, battered old violin. Through these Eve has a startling realisation that her life will never be the same again – with or without a man in her life.
The author has a very distinct writing style with a kind of musical rhythm of her own! What I thought was just going to be a basic love story with a happy ending, turned into an exciting, page-turning thrill.
Eve is buried under the difficulties of her married life and the longing to find who she really is. But how far is she prepared to go to discover her own true power?
I liked the connection (which I think was intentional) between the the shattered violin and Eve’s life. Both had seen better days. Both were lost and now found. But what is to become of them?
A stirring account of a broken wife slowly coming to terms with the reality of what is her life, one powerfully sensual beat at a time.
