A good action film which takes the best elements from the games and uses them on the big screen. It has some good set piece scenes and big budget effects, but overall it's far from great.

I remember seeing this at the cinema as a kid! It had good effects for the time. A good story for the whole family to enjoy. Much better than the sequels from what I have heard.

This is definitely underrated. I always find myself torn though between preferring the film ending, or the short story ending.

Awesome special effects, true to the original story cast, including a great performance from Will Smith as the Genie, although Jafar could have been a bit more scary! Enjoyable family escapism. (0 more)

I actually didnt think id like this movie and had put off watching it for a bit.but just like the first one was plesently suprised .mix match cast worked well together action and effects good and jokes witch are usually pretty corny in movies like this i thought were funny.except for one monster they all looked real .they didnt need to do it so kinda ruined that part for me but pretty good real special effects other than that.

I remember watching this movie back in early nineties late night on tv thinking this was a corny bit silly for a horror movie but I thought it was still funny and I kinda liked it now ive watched again 30 years later is it as good as I remember yes I laughed especially when George wendt turns up basically playing norm from cheers without the bar the effects are bit outdated but the makeup effects are excellent. Maybe I should watch the three sequels some time
