One of the best games ever... Made even better!
One of the most popular games of all time got a make-over for the GameCube in 2002. This version had much improved graphics and it looks amazing... I didn't think the GameCube could produce graphics this good. The lighting and shadow effects really brought it up to date! The sound and controls were also improved, along with some other new features.
I played this on a friends PlayStation back in the day but the first time I got to fully play this was with this version... Playing through the Nintendo Wii! Just need a memory card and a controller. Otherwise it's the awesome game we all know and love. A HD version of this update got released for the next gen consoles in 2015.

I have been using this phone since December as I got it as a Christmas present and had my previous phone (Sony Xperia Z3) for 3 years and was really on its last legs.
I ADORE this phone and I am so glad that I decided (after a lot of research) to go with this phone.
The camera is amazing with so many different effects and the sharpness of images is amazing.
The battery life is great and even with listening to music, taking pictures, using maps, googling different things and gameplay (whole day out in London) I was still left with 60% battery at the end of the day.
If anyone is thinking of getti g this phone but isn't sure I would urge you to go for this phone. I am so happy and amazed by it!

Slaughterhouse Doesn't Rule!
This really pains me to write this as I LOVE Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Ever since Spaced and Big Train I've loved everything they've done...until now. This black comedy has no laughs! The attempted 'comedy' in this is 'theyre posh' and have funny voices. It really does fall flat at every turn. The characters don't really develop and the creature designs are terrible. It would get a 3/10 but I gave it an extra mark for some good gore but all in all this is a shame and such a massive waste of Pegg, Frost and the (normally) excellent Michael Sheen who again is used for laughs by having a posh voice! Such a shame...I need to go watch Shaun of the Dead to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

Lol, that’s an excellent way of putting it. And these companies complained when people were illegally downloading these type of films - don’t release crap films in the first place then!

Cosmic Voyage (Космический рейс) (1936)
Cosmic Voyage (Космический рейс) (1936)

First Man it ain't, but this optimistic prediction of the first manned mission to the Moon (by the Soviets, in 1946) still has many points of interest. Bold (if somewhat geriatric) scientist Sedych decides to take a bold leap into the unknown and go to the Moon, against the wishes of the authorities. He ends up going with his young female assistant and a teenage boy; various hazards imperil the voyage.

There are obviously allegorical and political elements to the script, but in another way this is an attempt at genuine scientific accuracy; this is probably the first film to attempt to portray characters in zero gravity, and it does a pretty decent job. Some of the special effects are startlingly good for the period the film was made. You do have to cut it some slack, but this is by no means a slow or heavy film.

Great actors, great special fx and great use of atmosphere for jump scares. (0 more)
With some involvement with the man behind The Conjuring The Swamp Thing offers an interesting spin on this Horror DC character. Not to give much away but from the opening scene with the people on the Swamp and what happens to them you are being eased into a more adult DC experience, which to me really does fit the source material. It's also nice that they introduce the story before cramming in the Swamp Thing which works better as it builds up the tension.
Its got excellent special effects which was reminiscent of John Carpenters the thing at one point and a great soundtrack. That paired with the quality of the acting and if the rest of the show lives upto the pilot it should be a brilliant addition to the DC universe streaming service.

Absolutely amazing
I have nothing bad to say about this show. It is serious while simultaneously hilarious. The plot thickens with each episode. The acting is superb and I love the romantic progression. Not only is the main character, Do Bong-Soon, at battle with herself and her incredible strength, she becomes the bodyguard of the CEO of a gaming company, and begins investigating terrifying disappearances that take place after a murder. When someone close to her is targeted by the kidnapper, she takes it personally and sets herself up to catch the culprit. The overlay sound effects and background animation only succeed in adding to the charm of this show. As long as you don't mind subtitles, this show is definitely worth a watch. The episodes are fairly long at over an hour each so it's easy to waste a lot of time watching without realizing. Be prepared.

A potentially great story about alien contact was really let down by the plot more than anything. I have seen the original and while that would be regarded as well ahead of it's time made in 1951 this will shortly be forgotten. This has the big budget modern effects otherwise the main difference of this and the original is the reason for the alien contact. The original made after WW2 was all about living in peace or risk destruction for our violent actions. This is all about the environment if we can't change our ways we risk killing the earth and ourselves. Oh and John Cleese is always worthy of more than a few minutes cameo?!
Great start but a missed opportunity. If you want a good action, drama or disaster film on a similar them watch Independence day, War of the Worlds, or The day after tomorrow instead.

Fantasy set in a historical setting, but is it good?
The Gaelic King is a low budget fantasy film set in historical Scotland. An exiled king is forced to unite with his once enemies to face a larger threat, a shadow army at the command of a powerful witch.
Honestly, this is a tough one to review. It doesn't do a whole lot wrong, but it doesn't Excel at anything either, it's stuck somewhere in between.

The film has passable acting, is well paced and has a solid storyline. The effects range from ok to bad, but it doesn't compromise the film too much. The music is great but is not balanced well with the sound of the movie, often overpowering dialogue.
Overall, it doesn't bring anything new or unexpected. It won't wow you, but you shouldn't cringe too much either. It's essentially the definition of mediocre.

I didn't know too much about the story when I saw this. Surprised it doesn't seem to be well known and got some bad reviews? It did feel like a mix of films from the likes of Gamer, Total Recall, Matrix, Blade Runner, irobot and even A.I. In the near future people plug in using their brains to control a robot which effectively they use to live their day to day lives. No danger of disease, accidents, violence and of course you can look like whatever you want to through your surrogate. Until someone found a way of destroying the robot also kills the controller while they are plugged in! This has a good cast, cool effects and was enjoyable to watch. Highly unoriginal though and it did feel like a collection of ideas from the mentioned films. Never the less this is still an entertaining film worth checking out!!

Another netflix sci fi
This series began well, the opening 2 episodes were ok and steadily set the tone for the rest of the series BUT instead the series just gradually went downhill to the point of ridiculousness.

The Story is divided into two sections.A mysterious alien artifact lands on earth and a crew are sent into space to try to trace its origins while on earth scientists/government officials try to make contact with the artifact.

The earth set story is fine but the story set on the spaceship gets worse as the episodes go on.Everyone at some point is either screaming, shouting, trying to kill someone or trying to get off with one another.

A very bog standard Netflix drama all in all.
