The beginning of the end
The first and original. First game I've played that I spent hours just designing my sims and house. Then I discovered the macabe aspect of killing sims in different ways. "oh, your pool ladder is gone? Just drown" "oh, there's a rug and plant by the fireplace, better be ready to burn"

"A sociological study disguised as a crime novel, set in New York City. While reading this, I was completely submerged in his words, and this world. I didn’t want it to end. Richard is extraordinary with dialogue. The jigsaw of a narrative is as complex as the city it describes."

has few women supporting characters (0 more)
The continued adventures to Kelsey's and Ren's quest. Starts right after the end of the first book. We get to know more about Kishan and Kelsey's "normal" life in Oregon. The supporting characters are mostly male and there are few female characters which is a little annoying. Also the mythology expands to include most of the world, not just India and Japan or various Asian myths.

Another fun fantasy adventure that picks up right after the events of The Last Dragonslayer. I just love the world Jasper Fforde has built here and the characters feel like old friends. Oh, and I really want a quarkbeast!! My main complaint with this one, and from the little I've read of the third one, is a lack of continuity in places. Dragonslayer is set in the "capital city of Hereford in the kingdom of the same name" whose monarch is the nefarious King Snod. When Quarkbeast begins and Jennifer is summarizing the details of her world and the events of Dragonslayer the kingdom name has changed from Hereford to Snod with no explanation. This kinda threw me a bit, things like that are a pet peeve of mine, but I decided to overlook it. Then I finish this one and start the sample of book three and it happened again, the end of Quark and the beginning of the Eye of Zoltar don't match up. At the end of Quark Jennifer talks about all the repairs they made to zambini towers and in the beginning of Zoltar she says they didn't happen. Im not sure if it was intentional or just bad editing but it's a bit irritating in an otherwise wonderful series.

2018 | Adventure, Family, Fantasy, Mystery
The cast particularly, Eddie Redmayne as Newt scamander, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald Opening action sequence was cool. Cgi was fantastic (1 more)
The world feels magical and the nostalga of being back in the wizarding world is always beautiful.
Grindelwald was underused considering it's called The crimes of grindelwald. The plot was messy and sloppy. Too many flashback sequences including two back to back sequences that lasted 20 minutes (1 more)
The big plot twist/reveal at the end makes no sense from what i know from the Harry Potter lore. Lack of Continuity Action sequences weren't that impressive
A disappointing entry in the Harry Potter franchise

Excellent conclusion and the realisation of so much hard work in the previous 2 books. Excitement abounds as the story moves between siege and political manoeuvring in the capital and good old fashioned, sword swinging savage battle in the North as Logen looks to teach the king of the north a lesson.
The endings of each of the main characters are a little bitter-sweet as some much loved characters die, some are presumed dead and others end up miserable in a job they didn't want with next to no power/control.
Excellent story telling and world building and setting up the three follow on standalone books set in the same world.

I'm just not the biggest fan of this series I guess the writing is good and the world is great but the characters I just can't stand them and don't really care what happens to them at all. Also the plot isn't that great either everything is pretty obvious and not that exciting when you finally get to the end.

I read the majority of this story on Wattpad but never continued after Colleen finished it. I bought the book and it sat on the shelf for a long time, me having forgotten that I never read until the end. I'm glad I waited, because it was nice delving back into the world of Sydney and Ridge, as well as experiencing the emotional growth of Maggie. Colleen always has me tangled up in my feelings and I never, ever get tired of it.

Volume 3 of Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash is the final volume. I thought the short series was wrapped up in a just okay manner. The team went through a major battle and came out the other side, but at the end, they are still in their roles in this unknown world. I was hoping they would find out more about how they got there or their pasts.
