Fun Free To Play MMORPG
A friend suggested this to me since I like games like Phantasy Star Online. It's free to play so I thought it wouldn't hurt to check it out. I like it a lot. There are three different warframes to choose from when you start out, with their own unique abilities. There's a tank one, a crowd control damage dealer, and one that is like a mage. I went with the Mag; the crowd control warframe. I had so much fun doing missions with friends and fighting enemies. It's fast paced and the battles are great. You can also upgrade your warframe and build other warframes from items you find during missions. You can also upgrade your weapons and abilities. I started playing this on PC and really liked it. You can also play on PS4 and XboxOne which is cool. There is no cross platforming however, which is a little disappointing. I just spend time playing on PC with my friends there and then on PS4 with my friends there. The game is a lot of fun and playing with friends makes it better.

The Truth and Other Lies

Henry Hayden is a best selling author in Germany. He and his wife live a somewhat modest lifestyle. He is adored by women and envied by men. Henry is in the process of "writing" his next great novel, when his editor gives him some disturbing news. This news sets off a chain of events that will forever alter the lives of everyone who knows Henry.

The Truth and Other Lies, had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning. Henry Hayden is a character you love to hate. I was afraid of him from the start and very glad he is not someone I would ever have to come in contact with. With a friend like Henry, who needs enemies.

Everyone loves Henry, but why? He's not really good at anything, including the writing that has made him so famous. He's not especially nice to anyone, least of all his wife. He love her, that is for sure for without her, he would be nothing. But he struggles to remain faithful and to treat her in the same manner she treats him.

This is one of the best books I have read so far this year. Highly recommended.

**I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**

Bloody, awesome and a little infuriating
This is an awesome hack and slash game. When I want to vent some of my aggression, this is the one to reach for. It is similar to God of War except that its derived from Celtic mythology, which I love. It has had some negative reviews due to its basic combat, repetitive enemies and weak storyline. I disagree, I love it. The art is awesome, black and white and muted tones, with splashes or fountains of red. It is very bloody, grungy graphic novel style art. The main characters design is striking and unique. The combat can turn onto button mashing but, there are strategic combos which when performed correctly, have some cool and bloody, visual executions. You pick up different weapons on your adventure which opens up options for different fighting styles, combos and upgrades. The more combos you do, the more blood is spilled which means you can access RAGE mode. There is no blocking, so dodging is vital. Sometimes the gameplay mechanics are frustrating due to the annoying camera angles. Its a pretty awesome hack and slash game and love it.

Pretty much an essential supplement for anyone wanting to run M&M for more than a handful of sessions. Sooner or later you're going to want to go beyond the pregenerated characters and powers from the core book, and it's true that while the superpower rules in the book are comprehensive, they're potentially intimidating, too. There are a lot of power effects, and a lot of ways to modify them - the best way to duplicate a specific power from the comics isn't always clear.

That's where this book comes into its own: everything from Air Powers to Time Powers (and beyond) get their own chapter, each one containing a large selection of pre-worked out powers. For instance, how do you differentiate between throwing a fireball and a lightning bolt? Well, the fireball has an area effect, meaning it costs 50% more. Fun obscure powers include Internal Flora (incapacitate your enemies by disrupting the plant bacteria in their gut!) and Anatomical Split (fight crime by literally going to pieces!).

Some of the powers are a bit odd and a close eye from the GM is required, but this is always the case with M&M. Mostly this is very solid, fun stuff; just flipping through the book always generates new ideas for different characters.

Broadcast live, Rosa Lincoln takes to the stage at her brother’s memorial service with a bomb concealed beneath her clothes. Being in Jimmy’s shadow was never easy, even when he was alive, but in death he has become a national hero.
When she crosses paths with the enigmatic Teresa, she discovers that those she has been taught to view as enemies may not be the real villains after all.
The lies need to be stopped, and Rosa intends on doing just that.

Wow! This book started with a bang - well a potential bang - and didn't let up until the very end with all its twists and turns along the way.
Although this is fiction it very much reflects what is going on around the world right now, sadly. It has its basis in fact and recent happenings which makes it hard-hitting, emotive, topical and timely.
The main issues it explores are terrorism, extremism, propaganda, xenophobia, nationalism, racism, good vs evil and the current political climate; it does so with considerable tact while questioning each of them making this a thought-provoking read.
Very good work of dystopian fiction.
Recommended.

You never know who will move in next door...
Hannah Mary McKinnon’s second novel, The Neighbors, is a domestic drama that explores past, lost, and present loves and what happens when they all collide.

They say to keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but what about your exes? Most people seem keen on keeping their exes as far away as possible. That’s a little hard to do when your ex happens to be your new next door neighbor. When Abby’s old flame, Liam, moves into the house next door she knows she’s in trouble. Both she and Liam are married to other people; however, the flame that existed between them has never fully burnt out. Thus, thing are bound to get messy.

Told in alternating points of view between Abby, her husband Nate, her teenage daughter Sarah, and Liam’s wife Nancy, this novel explores the traumatic events that have shaped Abby’s past and how they influence what is happening in the present day. The author doesn’t shy away from using heartbreak and dismay to highlight love affairs that have been and shouldn’t have been. At once suspenseful and sorrowful, The Neighbors explores the complexities of relationships and the consequences of withholding the truth from those you love.

Eat your Heart out Drac! Sorin is back!
Before Dracula ever tasted his first drop of Blood, Sorin Owned the night. After centuries of Drenching Europe in blood, he Grew weary of the Carnage and left to discover the new world, only to be tracked down by an old enemy. Sorin survives the Attack but only by being put into a healing slumber....and wakes up 500 years later in Present day New York and that is where our adventures begins.

I found this book endlessly pleasing. Sorin is out to make New friends and he meets some very interesting characters along the way. Although he has some classic Vampire broodiness, he does not conform to the new age definition of sparkly "vegetarian" Vampires. He is unapologetically brutal to his enemies and trying to come to terms with a world he doesn't understand. It makes for a funny action packed book filled with witty one liners and funny scenarios.
It was a true page turner and I loved Every minute of it.
I really can't wait for the next book!

Like most other Brits, I've watched at least one episode of Doctor Who.

I still watch the (current Doctor) Jodie Whittaker episodes.

Next to the Daleks and The Master, I think the Cybermen are (perhaps) the Doctors most-famous enemies.

However, I've never really found them all that scary: I think because the fact that they are fully encased in their armour (unlike the Star Trek counterparts of the Borg) makes them seem less relevant, less of a body-horror than said Borg.

With all that said, I'd heard recently that this was one of the best Doctor Who Cybermen stories, and so thought I would give it a listen: Set on the world of Mondas, this story deals with the ascension of the Cybermen (well, one ascension anyway: they've had more ascensions than I've had hot dinners!), set during Peter Davison's tenure as The Doctor.

It's not a bad listen, with Davison reprising his role and with the story carefully laying out it's stall (and trying to show the horrors of becoming a Cyberman) through having an audience surrogate of a family on Mondas that The Doctor and his travelling companion Nyssa encounter, and try to help.

But is time a constant? Are some things destined to be? …

Listen and find out!
