ArecRain (8 KP) rated Roped Heat in Books
Jan 18, 2018
Plot? What plot? Oh, you mean the little mention of a plot that makes it okay to chase her and make her his sex slave. Please dont make me gag. What little writing didnt involve them screwing each others brains out even though they are enemies, was dedicated to formulating a historical world filled with monsters and motorcycles? At least, that is what I guess Tareks mode of transportation was. The fact that I couldnt get past how lame the story as a whole was didnt motivate me to understand what things like that were. If Harper wanted to create a historical world, she should have done her homework instead of spewing this word vomit.
Josh Burns (166 KP) rated The Gaelic King (2017) in Movies
Jun 21, 2019
Honestly, this is a tough one to review. It doesn't do a whole lot wrong, but it doesn't Excel at anything either, it's stuck somewhere in between.
The film has passable acting, is well paced and has a solid storyline. The effects range from ok to bad, but it doesn't compromise the film too much. The music is great but is not balanced well with the sound of the movie, often overpowering dialogue.
Overall, it doesn't bring anything new or unexpected. It won't wow you, but you shouldn't cringe too much either. It's essentially the definition of mediocre.
Natari (73 KP) rated Embrace the Night (Cassandra Palmer, #3) in Books
Jul 19, 2019
In Embrace the Night, the third book in the Cassie Palmer series, we start to see a much wider picture with new characters and new enemies popping up - and it doesn't seem like Cassie's "usual run of bad luck" no there seems to be a greater - more sinister - purpose that is getting the baddies with the big guns to crawl out to the woodwork to attack our poor little clairvoyant.
Tons of fun, and be prepared to fall even more irrevocably in love with Pritkin and Mircea. What a love triangle to be in.
Lee KM Pallatina (951 KP) rated the Xbox 360 version of Dead to Rights: Retribution in Video Games
Feb 26, 2020
Story see's Jack hunting down a newly formed government anti crime force called the GCU, who in return, flip Jack's entire life upside down with shock twists and betrayals.
Luckily jack isn't alone as partner Shadow is their to help take down enemies on command & can retrieve weapons for you too (which really helps).
The games dark tone and pace work well together, Shadow is a playable character, having his own occasional mini mission using both stealth and speed, slow motion upon head shot kills & fast paced shooting action with some fun dialogue thrown in make this a pretty enjoyable Game.
