Good plot, lots of twists.
This is the first book i have read by this author but would definitely look out for others. Very easy to keep up with but with unexpected twists which held my attention. Would recommend.

The film starts really well and Ryan Gosling's character is engaging and exciting. However it does go downhill and the momentum slows. until a rather lame ending. I do like the premise of karma catching up with you and the possible consequences of one's actions though.

Che (148 KP) rated The Awkward Thoughts of W. Kamau Bell in Books
May 1, 2019
It took me nearly a year to finish the audiobook. Kamau is long-winded, pensive and thoughtful. What he is not, is always funny or engaging. Glad I finished it because I feel the world does need his point of view. I remain a semi fan.

Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Brave in Books

Not for me, found it annoying in places. Thankfully it was a quick read. I would have thought this would have been written better from an author that has written quite a few books. I didn't find either of the main characters engaging and quickly became bored.
Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Summoned (Summoned, #1) in Books
Feb 13, 2018
A very good read, I loved the book and the way it's written. The characters are engaging. Dimitri is a modern day genie and Syd is a one night stand that won't go away. I don't think I've ever read a book about a genie before.
Cody Cook (8 KP) rated Fabricating Jesus: How Modern Scholars Distort the Gospels in Books
Jun 29, 2018
Not always engaging, but it does provide material and analysis which is helpful for combating the Jesus of the Jesus Seminar and similar radical contemporary scholars, as well as non-scholars like Dan Brown. As such, I recommend owning it for at least the reference materials.
