This novel is often hilarious. It makes fun of the SF/F genre but can still tell an engaging story. (0 more)
It is my opinion that the author got lost in the weeds near the end of the novel. (0 more)

This entry in the tie in series finds Monk and Natalie on vacation in Paris. But Monk doesn't start to relax until he finds a recent skull mixed in with all the ancient ones in the catacombs. I found the beginning a bit slow, but the mystery was engaging and the book was absolutely hilarious.

Michael seemed miscast
After rewatching this film recently, it seemed to me Michael J. Fox was trying to hard to show his dramatic range which worked well in Casualties of War, but not this film.

Michael stars as an alcoholic/drug addict who can't do anything right in relationships or his job.

Maybe if the story would've been more engaging I wouldn't have minded as much. Not bad, but kind of forgettable as well.

For the most part this book is quite interesting. The general story line is engaging however in between dialogue there is a lot of description about the settings which sometimes go on for several pages. Too much information, in my opinion. It makes the book boring and long to read. Sometimes it was like reading a text book, a non-fiction book about pre-historic times. I ended up skim reading quite a lot of the novel.

Loved it
Will admit that I did attempt to read this a long time ago and it didn't happen. I was in the wrong frame of mind, but having watched and loving the TV series, I picked the book up again! What a treat, I find the whole concept of this story line so interesting and I just can't put it down! I need another book!!! Please???
