Alain Delon and Monica Vitti are the most gorgeous couple in ’60s international cinema—embalmed and yet completely alive. The trilogy is one of the great achievements in twentieth-century film."

Director Christopher Nolan's wannabe-2001 sci-fi epic, this is where the meme of Matthew McConnaughey going through a range of emotions watching TV originates from, as an astronaut who leaves a dying earth (and his kids) behind in an attempt to find a new home for humankind.

There's no denying it is a spectacle to watch.

There's also no denying that it drags out longer than it needs to.
