John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
2019 | Action, Crime, Thriller
John Wick is quickly becoming a favorite franchise among many, myself included. Keanu Reeves excels in a revolutionary role that shows the viewer a type of action rarely seen before and never seen in the elaborate conditions and setting that is built within this world.

It's nice how this series introduces new characters to fight the titular Wick. They always have an original way to twist the story around and make this villain the most evil villain yet, even if that isn't necessarily the case.

I can't wait to see what is in store in the next installment. Reeves has publicly stated that he will keep making John Wick movies as long as people want to keep watching them. Well, I will keep watching them for as long as you keep making them, Mr. Reeves.

Though in my review for the previous book I claimed I was just in this for the possible something/anything to happen between our prince's...I lied!!

The whole good versus evil thing has definitely got me cheering on these two--the budding romances really isn't hurting the book at all, though that secret may cause some real trouble in the next one--and I really want to see them get peace and revenge for everything that's happened so far to all these people.

I'm impatiently awaiting book three so I can see what happens next in this series, and so hopefully my two guys can get some sort of happy ending because if not I know I'll be even more tempted to throw my kindle than I was with this one.

"Moby Dick is a fascinating book, a book that’s filled with scenes of high drama and dramatic dialogue. The book makes demands on you. The plot is straightforward. The mysterious Captain Ahab—captain of a ship called the Pequod—an egomaniac with a peg leg pursuing his nemesis, the great white whale Moby Dick who took his leg. And he pursues him all the way from the Atlantic around the tip of Africa and into the Indian Ocean. He pursues the whale around both sides of the earth. It’s an abstract goal, nothing concrete or definite. He calls Moby the emperor, sees him as the embodiment of evil. Ahab’s got a wife and child back in Nantucket that he reminisces about now and again. You can anticipate what will happen."

Brief Interviews With Hideous Men

"Wallace is not for everyone, but he is for me. My blind spot in my own work is ‘the evil that men do.’ I think I know a thing or two about the way people love, but I don’t know anything about hatred, psychosis, cruelty. Or maybe I don’t have the guts to admit that I do. Wallace writes brilliantly about hideous men and hideous women and the hideous culture that produces them. Reading Wallace for the first time was also about the hideous revelation of a talent a lot bigger than mine. You can take it when the competition is dead people—it’s harder when they’re alive. Wallace’s prose has brought me as much envy as it has joy over the years. He makes me more ambitious for myself."

A game that kids play, so make it a movie
Contains spoilers, click to show
The plot‐ Olivia, Lucas and a group of their college friends travel to Mexico for one last getaway before graduation. While there, a stranger convinces one of the students to play a seemingly harmless game of truth or dare with the others. Once the game starts, it awakens something evil -- a demon which forces the friends to share dark secrets and confront their deepest fears. The rules are simple but wicked -- tell the truth or die, do the dare or die, and if you stop playing, you die.

So this plot makes no sense, the movie makes no sense. The horror is not good, the jump scaries are not good, it tries to psycological but falls.

Dont watch this movie.
