Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Toychest in Books
Jan 12, 2018
[Toychest] by [Lance Milham] is an excellent debut novel from a young author. The characters are the main part of the story and they keep the plot moving at a good pace. The way he shows that evil people exist everywhere and even good can become evil is subtle. The idea that everything as consequences is throughout this novel. [Milham] has a very creative mind and I look forward to reading more from him.

Alison Pink (7 KP) rated Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald in Books
Jan 15, 2018
Oh my goodness! What an awesome book! Zelda Fitzgerald is a fascinating series of contradictions. This book is a work of fiction but it feels so real based on the popular myths of Zelda & Scott. You feel for both of them through the whole book. At times you despise each of them yet, in the next instant, you root for them like its no ones business. What an excellent, entertaining read.

Haley Mathiot (9 KP) rated Afterward in Books

Excellent narration, beautiful story and complex character development, and a surprising twist near the end of the book.
This book deals with some heavy psychological stuff, and really got me thinking. I was very involved in the characters lives and development, and I was very satisfied with the way the story ended. As long as you can handle some slightly intense scenes, any fan of thrillers and psychological stories will enjoy this book!

Excellent comic book show

I absolutely loved this show even though I was sceptical about the cast at first. It was dark, funny and the fight scenes are brutal. I can't wait for the next series.
My only issue was the final episode didn't really push the story on. It was like the writers came up with the cliff hanger and then had to rush to make up the rest of the episode.

Verging between Excellent and Very Good as I did stop what I was doing and actually sat and watched the film. The film goes off on all sorts of tangents which keep you wanting more and keeping the viewer intrigued, you don't get to tie all the pieces together until fairly near the end. Don't expect to watch a film about a corrupt accountant, it is so much more and surprisingly good.

This is the third book in this series by this author. This book is just as amazing as the others. Another excellent romantic suspense story, you won't want to put down. This story is well written, with an engaging story line. The characters are complexed and very interesting. I can't wait for more in this series and by this author in the future.

A fascinating story with multiple endings. (3 more)
An excellent blend of genres, including bullet hell, hack and slash, and RPG
Absolutely stunning in 4K
One of the best original soundtracks I have heard in some time.
Gameplay is simple, and very easy to master (2 more)
Each "path" is about 5-6 hours long, discluding side quests.
It is VERY easy to get motion sick.
A perfect cocktail of bullet hell, and hack and slash.

Dean (6927 KP) rated The Woman in Black (2012) in Movies
Feb 11, 2018
Hmmm a 12 rated "Horror" film?! Yep it doesn't really work, the only scares are predictable jumpy loud noise moments and spooky imagery. It has quite a dark story behind it though, it's just unfortunate that there is a real lack of dialogue with long quiet sections of Daniel Radcliffe walking round a creepy house. The production design is excellent though which adds to the right atmosphere, just not that scary for grown ups.

Sean Foster (0 KP) rated Molly's Game (2017) in Movies
Jan 24, 2018
Excellent film
The story is told through the eyes of Molly, who goes from Olympic skiing contender to the poker queen of the rich and famous. The film tells how Molly stumbles into the poker life and does all she can to keep hold of her game and fortune. Molly learns the hard way there are no friends being the queen and you never know what the next hand holds

Jennie Kindle (0 KP) rated Beauty and the Beast (2017) in Movies

Excellent adaptation from the original
As a young child, I obsessively watched the Animated movie. Growing up, I have read every adaptation I could get my hands on. This movie did a splendid job of translating the animated film to live action. The development between Belle and the Beast was slower in this version which I loved. Overall, I highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys this fairy tale.
