Insert the standard "I haven't seen any of the previous ones" line here. Luckily it's such a big part of popular culture that I knew enough about Rocky to get all the references.

I had a lots of urges to leave in the first half of the film. There was very little happening and the script seemed a little bit half arsed. I was rather optimistically thinking that the film was nearly over when the fight was announced. Luckily the action packed second half of the film was much more engaging.

The emotion was so much more real. There were plenty of opportunities to shine in the first half but none of it grabbed me until we got into the first fight between Creed and Drago.

If we discount the beginning then the rest of Creed II is an excellent story of family loyalty and letting go of the past.

Did anyone take a word count for Viktor Drago? I imagine that most of his script just read "*glares with [insert random emotion here]*". Despite the fact we have a long list of excellent actors no one seemed to give a memorable performance. There was certainly nothing that made me want to go back and watch any of the others in the franchise.

What you should do

Unless you're absolutely obsessed with Rocky and Creed then you should probably just wait for this one when it's streaming.

Movie thing you wish you could take home

That apartment with it's amazing view would be a very therapeutic thing to come home to.

[Down at the End of the River] by [Angus Woodward] is a compilation of short stories, which usually are not the type of thing I like to read. I did enjoy these and if I did not know they were the same author I would have thought they were penned by many different people.

[Woodward] does an excellent job in creating characters and using those characters to drive the story. More than a few even caused me to feel the nervousness or anxiety of the characters.

I was disappointed that the setting of Louisiana was not highlighted more that it was just a passing reference. I believe the south has a character all it's own and could have added even more to the stories.

[The Prediction] by [Darren Sugrue] was an excellent thriller. The question is, if you could know the date of death would you want to? Daniel did his PhD thesis on a mathematical formula that could predict when someone would die. His thesis was rejected and he gave up his old life to be a crane operator. Twelve years later his old professor approaches him after the death of his son and wants Daniel to take his thesis up again. This decision will change everyone involved.

The characters were well developed and drove the plot. I really liked how you got to see different perspectives throughout the book.I highly recommend this book. I could not put it down once I started reading.

Oh my gosh! What an awesome book!! I'm not even quite sure how to describe it. This book is quite unlike anything I have read before. It is part coming of age tale, part fairy tale, part love story. Celia & Marco are interesting characters who possess extraordinary abilities while still being real. The story sucks you in from the first sentence and doesn't let you go even at the final sentence...I found myself in denial that it was over. It was one of those books you just don't want to end but yet you can't seem to put down.
I finished this book a huge fan of Erin Morgenstern. I hope she will write more books as excellent and addicting as The Night Circus!!!

If you are a fan of Star Wars, especially of the new interconnected canon, this book is for you. Including a timeline, a who's who of important figures in the Star Wars universe, information on the more important planets in the Star Wars galaxies, and then more detailed maps of the areas of importance on each of these planets, this books has a little bit of everything to help you map out the where/when/who of the new canon. Very informative and artistically detailed, this is an excellent addition to any Star Wars fan's library. I'm hoping that as future movies, books, and cartoons are released, they will release updated editions of this book to include the new locales. A Star Wars geek's dream!

Some genuinely chilling moments (2 more)
Authentic historical setting
Excellent acting
Period language can be a little hard to follow occasionally (0 more)
The most chilling thing about this film is knowing that it is based on historical records - that many of the things that happened were things that people of the time genuinely believed to have happened. Whether or not the witches or satanism was genuine is kind of irrelevant, as the true horror came from the consequences of believing in this stuff. The story follows a family who are torn apart by their own internal struggles of morality. It's an interesting piece that I don't think will appeal to everyone, but horror fans with an interest in history, or the occult may enjoys this.

Good pacing, wonderful descriptions (0 more)
Pretty good book
So the book is set at the very beginning of the Iranian Revolution – Marco is an American English teacher who’s come to Iran for a year. While there, he falls in love with his roommate’s cousin. The book is really their love story, while surrounded by political and religious unrest.

The writing is excellent. I’m sure I would get more out of the book if I could read Farsi, as each chapter is begun by a few lines of poetry in Farsi, written in both Arabic script and English letters. But the pacing is perfect, the descriptions apt – I really enjoyed this book.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
Well I’m so glad I watched this, I love the Haunted House and Ghost Train rides at fairgrounds so this was right up my street.

I didn’t think the film was scary as such, but there were certainly some very creepy moments, and I felt the vivid lighting also gave the film a distinctive edge.

Well acted, well put together and thoroughly refreshing for the horror genre, this makes an excellent night’s viewing if you just want a fright without too much baggage.

The most enjoyable horror I’ve seen since the Final Destination movies. Scored 9 out of 10 as I felt the ending was disappointing, I feel a twist of some kind would have made it a perfect 10.
