Wow
Not your typical exorcism movie. The acting and cinematography were phenomenal. The storyline unfolded beautifully and intensely in this supernatural thriller. The twists were a bit predictable and the end, of course, left it open for a sequel, but none of that took away from the entertainment value. If you enjoy possession stories you'll enjoy this one. It approaches possession and exorcism from a very interesting perspective/angle. REALLY worth a watch!

Spooky Scary Roses
The Exorcism of Emily Rose- is a really scary, terrorfying, horrorfying underrated horror movie directesd by Scott Derrickson yes thats right he dircted doctor strange.

The plot: The Rev. Moore (Tom Wilkinson) is prosecuted for the wrongful death of a girl thought to be demonically possessed, because he administered the church-sanctioned exorcism that ultimately killed her. Prosecuting attorney Ethan Thomas (Campbell Scott) contends that the young woman, Emily (Jennifer Carpenter), suffered from schizophrenia and should have been medically diagnosed. Meanwhile, defense lawyer Erin Bruner (Laura Linney) argues that Emily's condition cannot be explained by science alone.

Its thrilling, chilling, spooky, and alot more.

I would highly recorddmend this movie.

Sorry this review is a day late.

The power of Christ compels you.
The Exorcist is one of those movies that no matter how you feel about you remember the first time you watched it.

While there have been a number of sequels and even more exorcism movies The Exorcist is the crowning achievement of the genre and still hold up against most modern horror movies.

A fairly average, slow to get going horror. It's basically an Exorcism version of Blair Witch. I didn't know in advance it was done in the style of a documentary. Does get a bit creepy later on, odd ending to which didn't seem to explain it all. Some will like that, others will be annoyed by it!

Good set design
Decent Exorcism Film
A decent enough film overall raised above many of this type with the touch of class Russell Crowe brings to film.
Good SFX and not relying on jump scares, loud noises for frights. Based on the books by the real man who did exorcisms for the Vatican for 30 years.

I have a new guilty pleasure and it’s name is Grady Hendrix. After finishing My Best Friend’s Exorcism, I find myself hungering for more of Hendrix’s work. Fortunately, the audiobook was not read by the same narrator as Horrorstör. Instead, this 80s style book is read by Emily WooZeller – the woman that narrated Shallow Graves.

My Best Friend’s Exorcism reads exactly like a cliché. If you’ve seen any horror film from the 80s, you probably know exactly what I mean. All the way down to the dog. Normally this would put me off, but instead I found it oddly comforting. Totaling only ten hours, it’s not a terribly long read either.

I really wish I had more to say, but honestly with that last description I’ve pretty much said everything. Just take your average 80s horror flick elements and apply them!

Weighing up the church and personal beliefs
Jeanette Winterson's classic semi-autobiographical story about growing up as a lesbian in a devoutly religious family shows the internal battle she had to deal with as a young girl. The exorcism scene is comically tragic as it's horrifying to think about how a girl is not accepted for who she is. An interesting story, but at times seemed a little repetitive.
