"Houston, we have a problem"
Astronaut Jim Lovell's famous understatement, here presented by Tom Hanks, in a film that documents (I was going to say dramatises, but let's face it: it's already dramatic enough) the trials and tribulations of the Astronauts of the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission, and of the members of Houston's mission control who worked around the clock to get them home safely again following the explosion that crippled their ship.
Yes, we may all know how it ends, but this is still a very good movie with stellar performances by all involved!

An explosion in a secret defense lab changes the lives of three men forever...
His brain was on fire, and he fought going back to the raging inferno of his private hell. Despite the power he now possessed, he couldnt even remember his name. According to the news, he was Brayden Sloane, former security expert at Cranesbrook Labs, now wanted for murder and kidnapping. He couldnt remember that, nor the woman who claimed to be his wife. Claire Fanshaw needed Bray to find her friend who'd disappeared following the explosion. Until Bray regained his memory, she'd stick to him like glue. But what would he do when he realized the woman in his bed was a stranger? And what would she do if the cops were right about Bray?
This story is excellent with mystery, twists and turns, and romance with a little what if fantasy thrown in. Even if you have not read the previous two novels you can read this one as enough information is filtered back through the story so you won't feel lost.
The author has done a great job for the final book in the series. Well constructed plot and wonderful developed characters
Three authors made it work and leaves you wanting more. Very hard to put down.

I'm always very hit or miss when it comes to literary fiction and unfortunately for me, this was a miss! The concept sounded so intriguing and I was instantly intrigued to read it and I really wanted to love it but it just didn't hit home for me. This is a reimagining of what a group of characters lives could have been like had they not died in an explosion as children but with this happening at the very beginning of the book I had no time to get attached to any of the characters maybe if the explosion was revealed at the end after spending the time getting invested it may have struck home for me better. This book is basically all about the characters but I just didn't care about any of them I enjoyed finding out what they were getting up to at each stage but I didn't care about what actually happened to them. One thing I liked was how it portrayed different people at the same stage in life living completely different lives with completely different problems showing how not everyone travels through life at the same pace. All in all just not for me but I'm sure some other people will absolutely love it.

Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 Review
Everyone wants to make a legacy game these days. After the wild success of Pandemic Legacy: Season 1, there seemed to be an explosion in campaign style games where the rules and mechanisms are changed as the game progresses.
Thus far, nothing has really been able to capture the magic of both engaging gameplay and story that Pandemic Legacy gave us. But now Season 2 is here, flipping the game on its head a bit, but promising to give us a similar experience. So, how does it stack up?

Wow!

Chernobyl is a great watch, especially as it's a true story about a nuclear power plant in Ukraine in the 80s.
Its gripping from the minute you watch start watching it, you can just tell something is going to go wrong and when it does, it's many people pay the price with their lives all because of a very stubborn man and his decisions to carry out test that came be done properly.
Chernobyl the city has to be abandoned straight away and still remains radioactive to this day.
It's not just about the explosion but how so many was affected and the trail when finding out who was to blame.
Its gripping from the minute you watch start watching it, you can just tell something is going to go wrong and when it does, it's many people pay the price with their lives all because of a very stubborn man and his decisions to carry out test that came be done properly.
Chernobyl the city has to be abandoned straight away and still remains radioactive to this day.
It's not just about the explosion but how so many was affected and the trail when finding out who was to blame.

"HULK ... SMASH!"
A collection of the original sIncredible Hulk tories (or those in which he appeared), I was actually surprised on reading these just how 'smart' (relatively speaking) the Hulk actually was - not at all like the "Rrrr...Arrrgh" engine of destruction I was expecting, but able to hold full conversations with those he was interacting with.
I was also surprised that - initially, at least - the transformation process did not happen when Bruce Banner got angry, but rather at night times, or when he voluntarily underwent it by stepping in front of his hidden Gamma Ray machine (after initially being caught in a Gamma Ray explosion that started the whole process going): very much a modern Jekyll and Hyde scenario, as it were!

White Crocodile was a book that surprised me. At first I was only interested because of the idea of mine clearers. Then there was an explosion. Then I got to know the characters a little more. It was fair paced but not as fast as I’d have liked. About halfway I began to get really curious about the plot, and then it started getting fast and surprising me at every turn. From there it didn’t let go. I feel like it could have started stronger (especially considering how good the ending was). The narration was good except every once in a while a line was so quiet I could barely hear it. All in all it was a very nice listening experience for a crime novel with a really exciting surprising ending.

How it began
Earth is under an energy crisis and is on the brink of planetary war for control. A team of scientists have the answer to our problems but must make it work. A particle accelerator that will supply the earth with unlimited power for everyone. Several trials and fails happen before they get it stable. Once it is fired things an explosion happen and things aren't what they are used to seeing. Earth is no longer in contact and strange things are happening. On earth a series of events begin with the release of a huge being that was never there before. Where did it come from you have to watch to find out.
Was never a big fan of the the first movie but this one wasn't too bad
