"One of Fellini’s masterpieces. I particularly love the Piero Gherardi sets and Bri-Nylon costumes that add to the fantasy and frivolity of the outlandishly dressed women. The story parodies the marriage of Fellini and his wife Giulietta Masina (who plays Juliet)."

"I don’t think anyone’s ever done sci-fi better than Blade Runner. That movie’s just the ultimate, deep, immersive fantasy picture as far as I’m concerned. And then Alien I think is its suspense/terror counterpart. So Ridley Scott gets two spots."

"Atwood keeps several plates spinning in this engrossing novel. What a gleeful storyteller she is. Her book is part family saga and part Gothic fantasy, with a plot twist near the end which casts the whole book in a dazzling new light."

Intriguing

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I'm usually more of a paranormal romance person than urban fantasy but this dragged me in really quickly. Very interesting and intriguing book. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.
