“Borne” is a work that exemplifies the notion of pick-and-choose literature; there are elements of science fiction and fantasy of course, but also flavors of thriller and love story and coming of age.

I liked this book, but there were aspects that were annoying. Wren was kind of awful to her sister, Cath. I was a total fan of fan fiction when I was in college, so I could relate to that aspect. I definitely wouldn't read it again, but it was my introduction to Rainbow Rowell.

Dystopian and lesbian fiction together! I think I may swoon. May Dawney has created the book I always wanted to read. The characters are deep and the plot flows. There is nothing in this book that seems forced or contrived. The relationship develops in steady way. This book is definately on my favorites list!

Perfect for a fan of bad fiction. I dearly love it for that. (0 more)
So much. Absurdly silly world-building around classic folklore, ridiculous plot points (clumsiness as a motivation for over-protectiveness, credulous parents whose child can do WTFever she likes no matter how many red flags her behavior should raise). (0 more)
Hilariously bad and awful

I am all for some fiction in movies.... I just cannot get past how this moving ignored so much actual history to bring this story to a conclusion. I am all for woman power, but I hated this movie.

Not to be rude, but yes, because otherwise, it is completely true to the world, right? Demigods, the Greek gods, and Themyscira - they all exist. It was just the whole disregard for historical events that the movie changed/added in.

A great all out action film. Totally over the top action and violence in this rather slick, stylish film. It's a mix of Sin City, Kill Bill, Smokin' Aces and a hint of Pulp Fiction as well. So if you like any of those, you'll get a blast from this and know what to expect!

Very satisfied with this read. I didn't think I would like it at first glance on account of the way the store had the book cataloged as 'superhero fiction' or something to that affect. After reading the book I can safely say the time it took me to read it was time well spent.

This was an amazing debut by Char Dafoe! It is a raw and edgy story with a pretty badass main charcter. The plot mores along nicely and any flaws will be worked out with experince. Everyone needs to give this new face in the lesbian fiction scene a read. Trust me you will love Rae!

Not so much science fiction as it is science fantasy, this novel pretty much proves the old matra that you can't judge a cover by it's (in this case, dodgy) cover. Not the best book I've ever read, not even the best by Simon Green, but still worth a look if you like space opera.
