When I was on vacation abroad, I finished reading this very interesting, contemporary, women’s fiction novel, set in my home town of Chicago. This book was offered to me by the author’s publicist, and if you want to know what I thought of it, I hope you'll read my #bookreview on my blog now. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/10/18/games-sets-and-mismatched/

Michael Chabon's newest novel lifts the accounts of his grandfather's life out of the sphere of mundane reality and directly into the realms of compelling fiction, with some artistic blurring along the way. Read more about what I think of this already acclaimed novel in my review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2016/12/20/the-scale-of-a-family/ (4.5 stars is my real rating).

This classic novel of Margaret Atwood is now a televised mini-series, but I really had to read the book before I start watching it. This fascinating historical fiction novel is a psychological profile based on the true story of Grace Marks, the woman convicted of a double homicide in 1843.
