Alison is my favourite historical author - her characters are as close to their true stories as fiction can possibly allow them to be. She can get inside the time period and their heads to take the reader on an emotional and exciting journey. It is the plight of Tudor women she does this with best; and the two books about Anne Boleyn and Lady Jane Grey are my favourites. I have loved devouring her books - easy reads and original twists.

A dark part of history mixed with a fictional revenge story
I had heard this movie was being made and I think the themes in it are very important. Many British people don't know about this dark part of their history and how intertwined their history is with Ireland. The revenge aspect of the film may be fiction, but the setting and historical aspects were very accurate.

I'd urge you to go and see this movie, but be prepared; it is very bleak.

Average.
Skinwalker Ranch is a very scary place. A bunch of scientists went to investigate it and what they witnessed was insane (go listen to Astonishing Legends if you want to know more). The movie takes that concept and turns it into an average silly horror film when in fact if they simply followed the story in the book of actually events you would be more scared, instead it's all a bit meh.

On my journey to read more science fiction books I stumbled upon this one. The story itself was interesting and had some cool twists to it that I was not expecting. It was definitely one of those stories where I kept guessing at the answers to the mystery as I was slowly fed more and more information about the situation. It was a fun read but I don’t know if I am intrigued enough by the characters to keep reading this series.

2019 | Crime, Drama, Thriller
Got to be one of Tarantino's worst movies, 2 hrs 40 minutes and literally nothing happens till the last 10 minutes. It looks great and has a typically diverse QT soundtrack but is basically one big long rambling boring ego trip. There must have been at least 30 minutes of screen time consisting of Brad Pitt just driving around Hollywood . Pulp Fiction it most definitely isn't. Hugely overrated and almost certainly wouldn't have been made if it were anyone else but Tarantino.

Crime documentaries are, by far, my favorite programs to watch. Last week Hulu released FX on Hulu, and this was the first non-fiction show from FX.
It's a nice, tight, four episode series about a guy who tracked down his birth mother, and subsequently his father, who he believes is the Zodiac Killer. It was completely engaging, and the evidence was compelling.

To avoid spoilers, I have to stop there. It's well worth the watch and I highly recommend it.
