The Reasonably Goood Wall
I actually put this on with the wife to watch as i thought it would be a film i could snooze through, but it actually hooked me,
The fighting scenes were clever and interesting,
The ideas behind the wall the reasons why an american would be in china i could live with,
It was predictable for alot of it but with this kind of action film it a comfortable watch

Warriors, come out to play
Ok maybe I missed something? I'm not quite sure about the cult status for this. It's a decent film with a young cast, and probably quite different at the time it was made. However it has a very simple plot, less fighting than I expected and a bit repetitive. I liked the almost comic "uniforms" for the different gangs, some of the fight scenes are pretty good, but overall I was expecting a lot more.

What?
Another poor attempt on the Street Fighter 2 computer game to live action. I originally thought this was a film but actually it's a short series, 2 hours 30 minutes in total.
Supposedely showing how Ken and Ryu learnt the same fighting style. There is so much potential for street fighter 2 films and stories, but so far including this odd offering they have all been really poor!
The wait for a decent street fighter 2 film continues... Hadoken!!

The only cooking show that doesn't make me hungry
I normally cant watch any food type shows without getting 15 minutes in and wanting a snack. It's not that this show isn't appetizing, but these babies who call themselves chefs get me so wrapped up in their drama that I could care less about what's in my freezer. It's also a great confidence boost since I have successfully cooked scallops and risotto on more that one occasion.

Forgettable. Starts off by threatening nuance by way of off-kilter dark comedy but then devolves into exactly what you'd think this was going to be: "lol fat guy got hit then fell down" again... and again... and again... and again. The only movie Hayek had less of a palpable role in than this was 𝘞π˜ͺ𝘭π˜₯ 𝘞π˜ͺ𝘭π˜₯ 𝘞𝘦𝘴𝘡. As expected Winkler is the best part. Joe Rogan comes in as himself for one scene and explains MMA fighting to the James character. Dullsville.

I thought this film was very good. It was a little slow at times, but I love Ruth and I'd watch anything with her in it so obviously a documentary about her is a must-see. I love that they talk about her whole life and you get to see many more pictures of her and hear more of her story. She's a fabulous woman who has been fighting longer than most. She deserves all the recognition she's getting and even more.

Can a robot fight as well as a person?
Contains spoilers, click to show
Set in the near future Real Steel is the comeback story of a washed-up boxer, who's only inspiration is is estranged son.

Former boxer Charlie Kenton has had to move with the times as traditional boxing has been replaced by the mega-sport of Robot Boxing and Charlie isn't very good at moving with the times. But when his ex-wife dies and he gains custody of his estranged son, Max, who he's never met, the adventure of a lifetime begins.

Charlie must juggle is meager on-the-road, always look for a new robot and a new fight lifestyle, with looking after an 11-year-old child. But when a freak accident leads Charlie and Max to an old sparring bot, Max is determined to get it running again. Once fixed up the pair find that the bot, named Atom, they discover it has a very rare feature, a mode that will literally let it copy the moves of a user in real time.

Starting in the underground fighting leagues, Atom rapidly rises through the ranks until it is noticed by the Robot Fighting League and offered an official fight. Whilst fighting and winning in the official league, Max sets his sights for Atom on an undefeated mega-robot, much to Charlie's distress.

This is the story of a boy reconnecting with the father he never knew though the one thing they have in common, Robot Boxing. Through the destruction and crashing metal come some heart-wrenching emotional scenes.

Look out for some interesting product placement and a very unusual statue outside the final arena.

10/10

Nothing To Jump Up And Down About After All - 6/10
Jump Force is a 2019 fighting game developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It features a variety of characters from Shueisha's ShΓ΅nen Jump and was released on February 15th.

After our world crashes into the ShΓ΅nen Jump multi-verse, it's invaded by an army of mind-controlled villains, called "Venoms". Under the leadership of Director Glover heroes are recruited to fight back by joining the "Jump Force".

This game is pretty fun to play. That being said, it is pretty horrible in it's own way too. To me the 40 person roster wasn't as bad as the story mode being such a bland experience. Although a couple more characters couldn't of hurt. The create a character mode was "ok" at best even though I had fun with it. But the whole upgrade system never really interested me. Biggest disappointment was learning that all characters are unlocked pretty much by just going through the tutorials and starting story mode. Still got to give this game a 6/10. Below is a link to a video I edited and posted on YouTube showcasing some of the gameplay if you want to see for yourself how the game plays.
